To say this past week has been heartbreaking and challenging would be an understatement. We are so shocked and saddened at the loss of our sweet Cleo. She wasn’t just a lesson horse in our program; she was the foundation. Cleo accepted every rider, and she met each one where they were on their riding journey. Her only request was a treat at the end of her lessons.
We relied on Cleo for both our Therapeutic Riding Program, where she served children and adults who may have physical and/or developmental disabilities, as well as riders in our Able-Bodied Riding Program.
The loss of Cleo is devastating to everyone who knew her and to our organization. Cleo will never be replaced, but as an organization, we must fill the void she has left in our programs.
It’s times like these we need the support of our community. Please help our organization purchase another therapy horse to continue our mission to provide equine-assisted therapies.
