They say good things come to those who wait, and our long haired mainecoon Miss Milan has been waiting almost a year! This patient party of one, found alone in an apartment in Harlem without food or water after her elderly owner passed, met her happily forever after when this couple came in The Pretty Paw Lounge today. Looking for a senior cat to be spoiled after their dog passed away, Miss Milan practically headed to the storage closet to grab her own carrier. We gifted the new family a beautiful blanket and water fountain, and lots of lickable treats.

Special thank you to our friends in the NYPD who drove Milan to us last year, and treated her to a round of shots. (Vaccines, not Vodka) 🥂

Happy life, pretty lady. Your sass is unmatched and we miss you already! 2️⃣4️⃣1️⃣ 🥳

June, sharing in her sister April's sorrow by indulging in Peeps & an edible as she falls asleep mid morning on fur/20 🌬️

Snowflake, taking the company Mercedes to Aldi, driving 20 mph under the speed limit just to show everyone who's boss with the hot sauce 🌶️ **doesn't fill up the gas tank, refuses to turn in mileage report

Kitten brothers Saturn, Neptune and Mars, refusing to wear pants to the dinner table, just two weeks after their behinds were shaved for surgery. 🫢 just like grandmas fudge brownies, we prefer our kittens with no nuts

Snoopy & Tinkerbell, siblings reunited, disagree over what came first, the chicken or the egg, as they come together in agreement to push both off the counter simultaneously 🥚

Pepper, disgruntled former spokesperson for Metamucil, Ubers to Market 32 for a bran muffin and a bottle of Prune juice. On the way home, yells "hey siri set an alarm for American idol tonight at 8pm eastern" knowing damn well he'll be in a turkey coma by the opening credit of wheel of fortune 😮

A huge thank you to the FreeFlower Farmstand and the Rosenbaum family for their incredible donation!

After a busy summer of growing flowers last year, they saved up all of their donations to give to our cats and their medical bills. We're loving her cat dress and so grateful for her gift to Mars and his colleagues 🐈 🐈‍⬛

Two double adoptions to kick off the week! Lilo & Lily left The Pretty Paw Lounge yesterday with new parents who waited over a month to take them home! This incredible tabby and pure white pair was surrendered to us last spring when their owners family developed an allergy. Lilo, our resident door greeter, and Lily, the lap queen (part time nap queen), will no doubt be spoiled and living the life of sibling luxury. Congratulations 🎊

Huge congratulations to Pesto & Semolina! 🎉 Pesto, a 7 year old tuxedo who lived in his owners car when she became homeless, and Semolina, a curious 2 year old who happened to wander into the carrier meant for Pesto when our trapper went to rescue him. An unlikely pair that bonded together by accident and now won't leave each others side... And an incredibly patient family who waited for both kitties to finish out their medical treatments prior to adoption! 🤝🏼

Join us at The Pretty Paw Lounge Sunday May 4th, where published author Leiah Bowden will read from her book Feline Wisdom to Help us Heal, live at the lounge. 📕 This incredible event includes a 30 min play date with our adoptable cats. Email or call to reserve.

The book is a small collection of the most loving, charming things cats have said to Leiah in animal communication sessions. This collection includes both full and excerpted sessions with cats both still in their bodies and those who have passed. Their stories, poems and advice to their human companions uplift the heart and comfort mourners with assurances of eternal connection and awareness. Pleadd bring a photo of a pet that's passed If you're interested in a personal reading with Leiah. 👼🐾
