Meet our rescue of the day, long haired all black mainecoon Merlin. This 10 year old rockstar was given up when family could no longer groom and care for him, and cleaning up after a cat was no longer on their to-do list.
Similar to awaiting the groundhog from departing his hole, we anxiously anticipate Merlin's debut from his carrier and we're pretty sure the shadow he will see will be that of a very handsome boy. 🐈‍⬛

Momma Sundae and her tiny scoops celebrate Monday with all the sweetness 🍦

Our incredible new mom has nursed these dairy delights since day one, and has been incredibly loving and caring and protective of her precious sprinkles.

Mom & babies go for shots and spay at the end of July, and are enjoying the suite life (no puns, please it's only Monday) at The Pretty Paw Lounge until then.

If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting our girl cupcake, step right over to The Pretty Paw Lounge 🐾 This 9 year old spice cake brings all the sugar and just the right amount of sass. Cupcake tolerates other cats, and has learned to love people, look for laps to populate, and show up at the sound of a bag of treats opening. Can you open your heart for a pre-senior girl that was already given up on by two previous owners? Cupcake is in one of our newly built quarantine rooms and does well with adult cats or other senior pets.

Craving a Cupcake with none of the calories? We got you. Looking for sugar but you're diabetic? Cupcakes got the skills to cure your ills. Looking to save a lot on your car insurance? Sorry that's not our problem 🤭

Happy Father's Day to everyone, except those overly promiscuous tomcats that keep getting the lady cats of the capital region more prego than the sauce aisle at the supermarket 🍝 (like a belt with a broken buckle, it's hard to keep up!) 🤭

I know it's hard to imagine, but imagine you're the family of a 10 year old male tuxedo. You severely neglect him and allow his long, gorgeous coat to mat and tangle and cause him unmeasurable pain. And then (as if that's not enough) you bring him to the groomer, and ABANDON him there, never to return.

That's the reality for sweet Sam. His "family" let him live this hell and then dumped him at a grooming appointment with no intentions to ever come back.

The Pretty Paw Lounge is so excited to welcome Sam to the cafe tonight. Just look at that glow up! A huge thank you to one of the incredible groomers local to Rotterdam, that gave this guy a complimentary cut, shampoo and style after realizing his family would never be back for him. 😢
