Superman to the rescue!

This little 3 month old man wants to show you what his life is like behind the scenes outside of saving the world..

Yet, we know he was named during our ice cream month, he definitely fits our real life super hero role and is wanting to stay Clark Kent after hours.

He arrived to the shelter as a little teeny boy and is unfortunately growing up into his teen era 😞. At 76 days of being in the shelter, can you be the one to his rescue? All of his siblings have been adopted for some time and he’s the last of the crew of 8.

He wants a break from all of the saving and would rather be saved from the shelter life!

🩶✨ Meet Silver Dollar! ✨🩶

Silver Dollar’s journey hasn’t been the easiest, but look at her now! When she first arrived at Huron Humane Society with her kittens, she was very scared and not in the greatest health, fighting a severe URI that left her with a lot of pressure and congestion in her little face. Her first night with us was especially difficult as she tried to adjust to this whole new world. She was so frightened that she even injured her nose.

But look at this girl now! Her nose is 110% healed, with just a tiny little scab that is slowly making its way out, as you can see in her photo.

More importantly, Silver Dollar has slowly learned something beautiful: humans can be trusted, and we are full of love. ❤️ After spending time with our staff and receiving plenty of patience, love, and cuddles, this once-terrified girl has blossomed into the goofy sweetheart she was always meant to be. She cuddles, plays, and shows off her silly personality, and we couldn’t be more proud of how far she has come.

Now, Silver Dollar is ready for the next chapter of her story, a forever home where she can continue learning just how wonderful life can be. 🏡🩶

Cookie Monster Introduction!

Cookie Monster is just 3 months old, a sweet, playful baby who should be growing up in a home, not behind a shelter door. 🥺🐾

She is an absolute sweetheart and has so much love and fun to give her person!

And right now, we’re at our limit for the number of animals we can care for with the staff we have. 💔 We want so badly to be able to say “yes” when more animals in need come through our doors, but we can’t make room for them until some of our current babies find their forever families.

Cookie Monster shouldn’t have to spend another day of her kittenhood waiting. She deserves a family, a warm bed, toys to play with, and someone to love her for the rest of her life.

Please don’t let this sweet girl grow up in the shelter. Come meet Cookie Monster and give her the happy ending she’s waiting for. 🏡

The past few days have been very chaotic. We apologize to all of those who have tried calling and couldn’t get through or left voicemails from yesterday to today. Please be patient as the animals are our main priority and we are navigating through this! We also started putting new kennels in our maternity room today, so if you come and visit tomorrow, be aware some kennels may be in hallways tomorrow right around opening!
