Came home to my boy Cheddar Bill having a hard time & looking like he’s on his death bed. As soon as I walked in he tipped over & flopped around then out came this mushroom with a few bites out from under him.

An impromptu quick transport to organize & consolidate a few birds needing a ride to Nationals & another for the ride home is turning into a full on weekend of transporting, helping sort, prying birds out of hoarders hands for their own good for our sales table & driving through the night napping on off ramps before the last stop earlier than most people's 1st cup on a Sunday morning. Glad I just bought a stockpile of 27 gallon totes & turned them into into stackable, transporting containers with ventilation but keep in the mess so Im not coming back with a bale's worth of bedding Im vacuuming out the rental vehicle at a car wash at 2am afterwards.

Sometimes you need to look past their current condition fresh out of a breeding pen which will end up a different girl all together once they're in feather again. The difference in condition from a show cage in June 2025 & a haggard housewife trying to dust bath in peace in yesterday's video October 2026
