EverReady Farm

EverReady Farm Show Hunter Training for Ponies & People Carol Eichner has been breaking and training ponies and horses in and around northern Virginia for 25 plus years.

She returned to teaching 20 odd years ago and loves every minute of it. Today Carol rides and teaches at multiple barns throughout Fairfax County and Loudoun County, Virginia, as well as across the river in western Maryland. Dedicated to providing fun and positive experiences for both horse and rider, Carol's goal is to help each individual fulfill their own personal potential.... and find the rid

e that makes them happy. EverReady Farm has become a supportive community for children, adults and families. It's much more fun when we help each other and root for each other...in the barn and in the show arena.

The theme for the season is huge learning strides. We have a lot of new partnerships trying out new things and learning to work together. Afternoon Tea just turned five. We broke her last year and she did her first 2-foot show courses at Morven with Eddyn and was 1,2,1 to take champion in a very large Hopeful Hunters. On Saturday, Ruby and her new boy Sinbad cantered her very first full courses and is ready for more! Pippa and four-year-old Rocketman ribboned in every Pleasure Pony class in a lovely group of ponies. Nailed her transitions and coped so well with some serious traffic issues. Irelyn schooled Riverside… and fits the lovely horse perfectly all of a sudden. Graduating senior Lily and River tried their hand at Pleasure. Eddy got to show her own boy EM Unfinished Business and took champion on Saturday in Schooling Jumpers. And back at home, Rosie and Gold Coast sealed their partnership with a solid jump course. As always thanks to our amazing parents for making it all possible.

Sprout Riding's Irelyn Diemar advanced to the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) National competition this past weekend and was awarded 8th place in a large and highly competitive field of riders. Irelyn has been a member of the Sprout team since its inception in 2021 and has always represented the core values of the team; sportsmanship, teamwork and hard work. She is always one of the first riders to come to the shows in the mornings and one of the last to leave, always ringside cheering and supporting fellow riders. Behind the scenes, she is a hands-on rider, grooming, tacking and taking care of the daily needs of the ponies she rides. IEA co-coach Carol Eichner who trains Irelyn stated, "Irelyn sets a goal in her mind and is determined to accomplish whatever she has her eyes on and this award is no different." She has been a team leader for our middle school team and will move into our high school team for the 25-26 season no doubt with more goals in mind and lots of team spirit to bring to the high school team. Well done Irelyn, we appreciate you and all that you bring to Sprout Riding!

Amazing learning today from both riders and ponies @ VPBA Benefit Show. Four-year-olld Annings Doll Face was Reserve in Pony Pleasure with Chloe in the irons. Dolly learned stand like a rock is not an option in Go As You Please. Ruby and Sinbad were Champs in PreShort…prompt transitions make a huge difference. Play Date learned that Irelyn IS the boss and responded with beautiful courses and Chanpion in the Pony Hunters. Kate and Sinbad won both the Eq on the Flat and an O/F class figuring out straightness and pace. What fun to see so many VPBA friends …Lisa Kline, Ginny DePaul. Oliver Brown, Cheryl Maye and more. Huge thanks to my wonderful parents that make it all possible.

Show season 2025 has begun! Lots of new partnerships getting their first outings. Pippa and “Elton,” her four-year-old (maybe 3?) pony, had a great first show earning ribbons in both SS Eq and Pony Pleasure confirming what we already knew…”Rocket Man” has an exceptional head on his shoulders. Ruby and Sinbad are just together two months and had a great showing with good ribbons. And Irelyn and Play Date “Sierra” put in polished courses to take champion in the pony hunters. Despite the sharp winds, rain and grey skies we had a very good day. So Nice to see our all our horse show friends. Special thanks to Eddyn Molden for help today!
