Blaire
Female
Breed: Mixed
DOB: 10/21/23
Weight: 55 lbs.

Blaire is a spunky, goofy 3 year old girl. After waiting for her home for almost a year in a WV shelter, this girl is ready for love! Blaire plays hard, gives hugs and then crashes for cuddles. She will curl up right on top of you, and truly believes she is a lap dog (we have told her no different). Blaire plays well with our current dog, and loves to do zoomies in the yard! She can climb chain link fencing, so supervision or a tie out is a must. This girl loves to play with toys, and shares well. Blaire has done well with pottying on a schedule, and takes treats like a dream. This girl is hilarious, and will keep you laughing with her antics. Blaire has done well with the resident cats, but does want to play and give kisses. As she is not full conscious of where her body is, sturdy kids are best (zoomies stop for no one.) Blaire is so ready to find a family of her own, make this sweet girl yours today!

If you’d like to meet Blaire and are pre approved message our FB page. If not yet approved please submit an application from our website awesomepawsrescue.org ( #45)

Lucy
Female🐾 Dalmatian🐾 7/2/24
Weight: 32 lbs

This is Lucy. She is a puppy mill girl now looking for a patient family of her own. She is a smart girl who loves learning all the good things there are in this world. Lucy is crate trained, good on a leash and excelling at potty training. She is a petite girl at only 32 lbs. and can definitely use some more. She has some quirks as all mill dogs do but she is very affectionate with people and loves kids. She is happiest right by her person’s side. She can be a bit dog selective so a meet with your furbaby would be necessary. Lucy has not met any kitties yet. If you’d like to make Lucy apart of your family please research the breed to make sure your lifestyle and family would be a good fit.

If you are interested in meeting Lucy and are pre approved, message our FB page. If not yet approved, please submit an application on our website awesomepawsrescue.org

Jack
Male
Breed: Mix
DOB: 4 months
Weight: 32lbs

This is Jack! He was found on the side of the road with his sister Jill in WV. With that being said we have no idea what his mix is, but we think he is going to be a beefy boy! His paws are big but he has short stocky legs with longer hair. He loves playing with his foster sister, and when he’s tired he lays down. Jack is doing so well with potty training; he will make outside if you can get to the door in time! He sleeps all through the night if you cover the crate with a blanket! He is crated during the day for a couple hours while his foster parents are at work, he doesn’t like it very much but if you cover the crate he will settle down nicely. He’s playful, curious, and full of puppy energy. Jack would love a family to call his own and feel secure that it will be his forever home.

Being a puppy, an active family that can provide exercise and stimulate his learning experiences would be great so she can become his best self.
If you’d like to meet Jack and are pre-approved, please message our FB page. If not, you can submit an application from our website awesomepawsrescue.org ( #55)

Breed: Mixed
DOB: 10/12/22
Weight: 66 lbs.

Sadie is a 4-year-old mixed-breed girl with the gentlest soul. At 66 pounds, she’s a big bundle of love who wants nothing more than to cuddle up beside you, follow you from room to room, and soak up all the belly rubs she can get. She’s calm, affectionate, and a little shy at first, but her sweet nature shines through. Despite an uncertain past as a mama, Sadie is ready for a future filled with love, comfort, and a family of her own. Her foster mom thinks she’s doing great in her apartment, so any home could work with frequent potty breaks. She’s also does well in her crate and settles in quickly. Could Sadie be your girl? 🐾

Bluey loves her afternoon strolls. She’s still searching for lifelong walking partner. Could that be you?

Bluey
Female
Breed: Doberman Pinscher/Australian Shepherd
DOB: 03/31/2025
Weight: 50lbs

If you're looking for a full of life, loving girl, then Bluey is your match! Bluey is a sweet, high-energy girl who will melt your heart the moment you meet. She loves to play, whether it be throwing a ball, tug-of-war, or in the warm months playing with water in a kiddie pool. Bluey is very affectionate, likes to cuddle, always making sure her people are nearby. Some of Bluey's favorite treats are bones of any type, watermelon, cheese, and ice cubes...yes, you read that correctly, she likes ice cubes. If you turn watermelon into ice cubes, she'll be your best friend forever. Bluey is highly intelligent and has gone through training. She knows several commands, such as sit, lay down, wait, and leave it. But just like human teenagers, sometimes Bluey just doesn't want to listen to them lol. Bluey does best in a calm environment, best suited to adults and children over the age of 12. She will need room to run around, so a fully fenced-in yard would be preferred for her, or an active family would be best for her. She does enjoy going for walks as well; leash training will need to be continued with her, but she does well overall on the leash. If you’re interested in Bluey, head over to our website to apply!
