She's been in the shelter for a long time, but thanks to the folks who support AHNM Thrift Shop, Esmerelda can have everything she needs at Animal Humane New Mexico until she finally finds her forever home ❤️🐾

Esmerelda is a 3-year-old, 82lb sweetheart who is one of the shelter's longest-term residents. Consistently overlooked and unable to go into a home with other pets, she has been waiting for months. In that time, she has gone out on doggie dates, spent time with foster caregivers, been an office dog, and has even gone on hikes.

We know the right humans are out there for her. Esmerelda is available for adoption at Animal Humane's Main Campus Location, 615 Virginia St. SE.
