Registration for Saturday's low-cost community pet vaccination clinic is open at
https://pawsitiveliferescue.simplybook.me/v2/ ! Rabies shots will not be offered this month because none of PLR's vet partners are available, but all other services (DAPP for dogs, FVRCP for cats, Bordetella, microchips, nail trims) are on the menu.

Also, it's not listed on the flyer, but canine influenza vaccines are available for $30. Please message Pawsitive Life Rescue of NM if you need it for your pup.

Opie was a beloved canine companion who recently crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. We're glad that we could bring joy to her long life, and also bring some comfort to her mom after Opie's passing. Here's what Opie's family sent us. Rest easy, pretty girl.... You were loved. ❤️‍🩹

"This is Opie, a sweet little pibble who loved treats from Boofy’s. Opie‘s mom rescued her from a high kill shelter when she was just a few weeks old. Opie passed away on June 4, just a few months shy of her 16th birthday. She lived most of her life in New Mexico until five years ago when the family moved 2,000 miles across the country to the East Coast. Opie had such an unquenchable zest for life, her zany zoomies were legendary, and her love for yummy treats from Boofy’s was absolutely insatiable."

This is the last week Albuquerque Animal Welfare (AWD) is offering FREE microchips for dogs and cats -- make sure your pets are chipped before things get loud and scary! More pets get lost during during the 4th of July holiday that any other time of the year. AWD's free service will be available through July 3, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Westside and Eastside shelters. No appointment is needed.

You must be at least 18 years old with a valid ID to microchip your pets. The microchip will be registered to the ID holder. Information you provide at the time of microchipping will help locate you if the animal is ever lost or recovered. It is essential to keep the details linked to your pet's microchip up-to-date so they can be successfully identified.

Albuquerque Animal Welfare's Lucky Paws mobile adoption van will be joining us at our Golf Course store on Saturday 11am-3pm to celebrate 15 years of Boofy's Best for Pets! Adoption fees are waived for this event, so come meet your new best friend!

On June 25th, 2010, we opened our first store on Albuquerque's Westside. This Saturday, 6/28/2025, we'll be celebrating 15 years of Boofy's Best for Pets! Join us at either Boofy's location for big sales, giveaways, adoptable pets, vendors, and FUN! We'll be giving away a $150 gift certificate and an inflatable kayak to lucky customers at each store. Plus, Duke City Dog Talk will be broadcasting LIVE from the Golf Course store 12-1pm. Please come celebrate with us! 🐾💙💚
