Our next low-cost pet vaccination clinic is less than two days away. Remember to sign up at Tinyurl.com/YKMYCEBM
On a related subject, we've had a couple of issues with pet owners treating our volunteers poorly lately. It's not most people, but it's a problem. For the patient and courteous attendees, thank you. We appreciate you. For the angry people: You must treat our volunteers and anyone else participating in the clinics with common courtesy. If you don't, you will be asked to leave and not welcome back. It's not OK to curse at our vet partners or berate other people working.
We're all giving up chunks of our weekends, not only for the clinic, but also for prep and cleanup. We're a small crew working hard to do our best because we believe vaccination is critical for the health of the pets in our community. Clinics can become very busy, and we’re serving everyone as quickly and as well as possible. We're not machines. If our volunteers are made miserable at clinics, they'll stop volunteering. Then, we'll lose the manpower needed to continue offering the services. If you have a question, concern, or feedback, you are welcome to speak up -- with the calmness and common courtesy you would want to be treated with. Then we'll address the issue with calmness and courtesy.
