Hank needs another chance!
We're still looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home for Hank, who's being returned to our care due to not getting along with the other dogs in his adoptive home. He's smart, active, and eager to please his human friends. He'd be a great running or hiking buddy, a promising scenting or agility dog, or a good prospect for training to do another job. Hank was born in the Sandoval County animal shelter and taken into PLR foster care with 11 siblings and his mom several hours later. After leaving his nursery foster home, he contracted parvo and survived. He was the last puppy in the litter to be adopted, when he was 8 months old. That was 3 years ago. Now he's looking for another shot a finding his forever home, and he needs our help. He's come through when circumstances weren't in his favor, and he needs help to get through this new difficulty.
Hank is almost 4 years old, about 70 pounds, neutered, house-trained, and crate-trained. Hank needs an active home with no other male dogs. He loves adult humans but has no experience with children. We recommend a home with no children under about 12 -- any kids need to be able to understand that he may need space and patience. He will need to be separated from any other dog in the house while eating or playing with toys, as he tries to steal those items and could start a fight. PLR will provide supplies, training assistance, and any necessary medical care.
If you can help Hank get another chance, please DM us or fill out the foster application at Tinyurl.com/plrfoster. If you have questions, DM us or just ask in the comments.
