Animal Humane New Mexico is holding a Pet Health Fair that includes free vaccinations and $10 microchips for cats and dogs on August 16 at Dennis Chavez Community Center from 9 am - 12 pm.

Cool off with some cool dogs 🐶

Meet amazing dogs like Major and Mojo Jojo when you join us at La Cumbre Brewing Co. at 5 pm this evening, August 1, for their Dog Days of Summer Adoption and Donation Event!

In addition to these awesome adoptables, there will be local pet vendors, a hot dog pop-up, and a pet supply drive. Enjoy some summer fun and support AHNM at La Cumbre Brewing on 3313 Girard Blvd NE!

Meow-stermind has been captured and is back behind kennel bars, ready to be adopted. Animal Humane New Mexico's website, social media, and Executive Director have been safely returned thanks to you. The first step toward being a better advocate for pets is by learning how ❤️ 🐾

Calling all educators! Join us Saturday, August 2, from 1 - 3 p.m. at Animal Humane New Mexico's Main Campus for an Educator's Open House! Meet our Humane Educators and learn about the incredible work they do in classrooms and at the shelter to educate, inform, and champion the next generation of pet lovers.

We’re also thrilled to be joined by incredible community partners who will share their own educational opportunities.

AHNM will provide refreshments, a free curriculum, raffles for classroom sets of books and a chance to win a Lakeshore Learning Gift Card!

Alice is ready to live her new life! Shy with new people yet confident around other dogs, this 6-month-old shepherd mix is happy, healthy, and home-ready!

Thanks to Parnall Law Firm, LLC, Alice received her spay surgery, core vaccinations, and microchip. Now, all she needs is someone to adopt her!

"Boop-Oop-a-Doop!" Adopting Our Coyote 1025 Pet of the Week, Betty Boop (A #83355) would have her feeling very animated!

Betty Boop, a 9-month-old Black Labrador Retriever, came to Animal Humane New Mexico from Valencia County Animal Shelter in June. She was part of a transfer that helped free up space for pets displaced by nearby wildfires.

Since her arrival at AHNM, Betty Boop has let her personality shine. She is affectionate, loves to play, and will sit for treats. This happy dog who would be even happier with you.
