Mites can be super itchy and very uncomfortable for your furry (or spikey) friends. They often manifest as small black dots, or white dandruff on the skin.

If your pet is itchy, or having any white or black flakes coming off of their skin or fur definitely get them in to see a vet ASAP! 🦔

Our patient Champagne, a ball python came to see us with mites 😮 —common but serious parasites that can make reptiles miserable if left untreated!
Good news, with proper treatment and enclosure cleaning, mites are very manageable!
If your reptile friend is soaking more than usual or you spot tiny black dots on their skin, it’s time to get them seen by a vet! 🐍
