ADOPTED! Some people are drawn to senior animals, and they hold a special place in rescuers' hearts. The Moores lost their senior cat after truly doing all they could for him. Ready to open their hearts and home to another, they saw CHARLOTTE online. We are beyond happy that this sweet girl has found her happy ending! She deserves it!

LOOK AT WIDGET! A week after his eye surgery, this cuddle bug is enjoying recovery in a great foster home. He has another vet follow-up appointment next week, after which we hope to make him available for adoption. Updates to come!

ADOPTED! Christina really wanted to find a buddy for her cat Gizzy. She knew she wanted a tuxedo and preferred a female. Boy, did the SCHS have the perfect girl for her: ZAHLI! Having had surgery to remove an eye with Glaucoma, she is loving life and everyone in it. We are really going to miss this sweet baby!

ADOPTED! The Rolons found themselves ready to bring a new family member into their home after losing their senior cat. Anyone who has lost a pet knows how difficult this can be. They saw goofy APOLLO at PetSmart and were excited at the prospect of making him theirs. He picked out a favorite toy to go home with him and updates have him doing great.

FOR ADOPTION! Char/Meck Animal Control was notified by a couple that a cat had shown up at their house. She was scanned for a microchip that came back to the SCHS...from 2015! Unregistered, we have CHARLOTTE (born 10/22/14) back and have caught her up on her vetting. She is a total sweetheart: calm, friendly, but with not many teeth. This, however, does not stop her from eating and she enjoys her meals. She is also four-paw declawed, but doesn't hold that against us. She will make a wonderful lap cat!

ADOPTED! Jennifer's 14-year-old son wanted his own kitten. With a dog and two cats at home, they were looking for one that would fit in well. They saw BO DIDDLEY online and drove in from Denton to meet him. After visiting with several, they stuck to their initial choice and we can't blame them. Bo is the bomb. His foster mom misses him already.

ADOPTED! Darryl and Chris wanted to get a canine buddy for their dog Bear. When that didn't go as well as planned, they decided that maybe a dog-friendly cat might work. Boy, did we have the cat for them! Bear was brought in and CASSIDY was let loose. Introductions could not have gone any better. After fostering for a few days, it was clear this was a great match. Even their colors match! Cassidy was with us for several months. Sometimes you wonder if there's a reason for that. We are soooo going to miss this girl!
