🌟 Happy Vet Tech Appreciation Week! 🌟

This week, we celebrate the incredible contributions of our veterinary technicians—the compassionate heroes behind the scenes who care for our beloved animals with dedication, skill, and love. 🐾💚

Our vet techs are the heartbeat of our clinic, doing everything from comforting pets during procedures to assisting in surgeries, running diagnostics, and educating pet parents. They wear many hats—nurse, caregiver, advocate, and more—and they do it all with a smile, no matter how challenging the day.

Valued Clients of Reid Veterinary Hospital,

We have been experiencing technical difficulties with our internet service since yesterday afternoon. As a result our phones are spotty at best. The issue has still not been resolved, but we have been able to reroute calls. You may, however, experience longer than normal wait times, as we do not have as many lines available to answer calls. Please be patient with us while we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We appreciate you and hope to be running normally soon!

Due to the high quantity of new prescriptions and refill prescriptions we provide our patients, we're requesting 72 business hours notice before your refills need to be completed to ensure your pets get their medications before running out!

Construction continues at RVH.

We have just been informed that this week (3/25 - 3/29) is going to be an extremely noisy week!

You will notice a change in the way we normally run things here at RVH during this noisy week. Please feel free to come inside to check-in for your pets appointment, then wait in your car until we are ready. You may also choose to call us from your car to check-in. We will come outside to get you when it's your turn.

If during the exam your pet needs blood drawn, a nail trim, or other procedure, we will most likely ask you to leave the exam room and wait in the lobby until the procedure is complete. We would normally take your pet to our back treatment room, but that room will be too close to the noise.

If your pet is already anxious about coming to see us, please reach out to us so our doctors can formulate an anxiety-relief plan to assist in a smoother appointment for your pet.

Clients of Reid Veterinary Hospital,

We are under construction! Beginning in the middle of March, Reid Veterinary Hospital will be remodeling to bring in brand new, state of the art treatment, surgery, and intensive care unit wards. This will allow us to continue to provide the best quality care to more patients while reducing wait times for annual exams, dental procedures, and various routine and non-routine surgeries.

Things will look different at RVH for a few months and because of this, we ask for your patience while we make sure that each pet continues to get the highest quality care in a timely manner.

Reid Veterinary Hospital partnering with SafeHaven Humane Society!

During the remodel, all dental and surgical procedures will be taking place at SafeHaven Humane Society located at: 32220 Old Hwy 34, Tangent, OR 97389. This change will take place beginning March 11th. We will call in the days leading up to your pet’s procedure and remind you of this change and review the logistics of your pet’s surgery/dental day and schedule pre-surgical bloodwork. Clients will drop off and pick up their pets from SafeHaven directly, and will be greeted by a Reid Veterinary Hospital staff member. The same veterinarians and staff that you know at RVH will be at SafeHaven Monday-Friday to make sure your pet continues to get the same quality care. In return for using their state of the newly-renovated surgery suites, Reid Veterinary Hospital’s veterinarians will also be dedicating certain days of the week to help continue SafeHaven’s spay and neuter program for rescued and rehomed dogs and cats. We assure you that all Reid Veterinary Hospital patients will only be operated on and cared for by RVH veterinarians and staff, and that RVH patients will not be boarded in the same space as any other pets in the shelter. If your pet has an upcoming surgery that is to take place at SafeHaven Humane Society and you have any additional questions, please feel free to call us at 541-928-8341 or email us at [email protected] and we will be happy to answer your questions!

We look forward to unveiling our new space in the coming months, and are eager to have another opportunity to give back to the community as we await our new space!
