We are thankful for the couple cooler days we got last week. It is more pleasant to ride outside when it's not 90 and full sun. The lesson students enjoyed their outdoor arena riding time too.

We've had a busy few weeks recently. Friday Ava finished her hours and her internship with us. We appreciated the extra help and wish her the best with the rest of her summer. Yesterday, some lesson kids and I braved the extreme heat to go to the second local show of the season. The kids did great. Luckily, it was a small show, so we were able to be done much quicker than normal.

Happy Birthday to Christina! I’ll let her tell you how old she is. Christina is very dedicated to our business and we wouldn’t be in business if it wasn’t for her.

Harry really acted like an adult horse at this show. He did undersaddle classes for the first time and first level in dressage. He was champion in hunter type undersaddle open, reserve champion first level open, top 5 in training level open, top 5 hack, and top 5 in dressage type undersaddle open. He was my substitute Gahzi for the show and stepped up to the plate. We haven't really done any collection work, so the hack class was interesting, but he really tried to listen to me which was awesome. He is about a month post injury, so he was not in the best shape but had a great attitude about the extra work.

Merlin did very well at the show. He had a much better attitude than at his first show. He got a regional champion in hunter type in hand, reserve champion in dressage type in hand, and a top 5 in his introductory dressage test.

This past weekend, Mom, Ava, Sophia, and I made three trek to Wisconsin for the Arabian Sport Horse Regional Show. We took Harry and Merlin with, unfortunately, Ghazi came up lame right before we left. The young boys really stepped up to the plate and did great. It was Merlins second riding show and Harry's first od the year. Stay tuned this week to see how everyone did but safe to say many ribbons were won.

No lessons today thru Thursday. We are at the regional sport horse Arabian show in Wisconsin. Lessons resume Monday

This week, we began transitioning our outdoor horses to grass so they could be turned out on to our pasture. Dad has been putting a lot of work the past two years into the pasture, and it is finally ready for horses! Needless to say, they were all very excited to go out.

This week Teddy made his debut in the lesson program. Right now he just has one adult. Since Ava has come she got him used to a new person as he has only had Christina ride him. He did pretty good overall. Hopefully he will enjoy being a lesson horse as that is our plan for him as of now.

We took three students to the first AAHA show of the summer. One student had never been to a show, and two of the horses had never been to a show. Everyone did great and had fun.
