Maya had a relaxing holiday with us!

This is Beauty! She is approximately 13 years old, and maybe a mix of a Shih tzu and a Terrier. Beauty's owner is sadly facing a severe health crisis and is unable to care for her.

Beauty is looking for a foster or possible adoption situation. She stayed with me for a couple weeks, but she is not very sociable, and needs to be the only dog in the household. I imagine she probably also does not do well with cats.

She is very sweet and loving, and reliably housebroken. She had no mistakes indoors while she was with me.

She has some skin issues that can be controlled with medication, and recently had surgery that led to an infection, which she has since recovered nicely from.

If you or someone you know would like to help Beauty, please let me know. She is currently boarding at her vet, but she would much rather be in a home.

Um verdadeiro dia de SPA para o nosso MICKEY!

Queremos deixar um agradecimento muito especial à Lesley, do Bed and Biscuit Dog Hotel no Sargaçal. Ela ofereceu um banho e tosquia (grooming) que o nosso Mickey tanto precisava!

Como podem ver pelas fotos, o Mickey ficou literalmente outro cão! Mais leve, mais fresco e ainda mais lindo. 🥰

O Mickey é um dos nossos residentes mais recentes no abrigo. Tem apenas 3 anos e está agora à procura de uma família definitiva. Temos a certeza de que, depois deste tratamento de beleza e carinho oferecido pela Lesley, ele vai derreter muitos corações e encontrar a casa que tanto merece!

A real SPA day for MICKEY!

We want to give a very special thank you to Lesley from Bed and Biscuit Dog Hotel in Sargaçal. She kindly offered a much-needed grooming and bath to our Mickey!

As you can see from the photos, Mickey looks like a whole new dog! He is lighter, fresher, and even more handsome. 🥰

Mickey is one of our newest residents at the shelter. He is only 3 years old and is now looking for his forever home. We are sure that after this wonderful beauty treatment and all the love shown by Lesley, he will melt many hearts and find the family he truly deserves!
