Entries open on Monday morning for the 2026 Secondary Schools Equestrian Cup - but relax ... you have until 2 July to get them in.
Our Event Secretaries are liaising with Schools to provide a link and entry instructions ahead of the 9am opening. We encourage anyone wanting to enter a rider to speak directly to their School if you haven't heard from them already.
Looks like we’ll have a high number of entries again this year and we can’t wait to see everyone on 30 August till 3/4 September at the Fiber Fresh NEC in Taupō and the Dunstan Horsefeeds NEC in Christchurch . 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 | 𝗣𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝘄𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗨𝗞
Kiwi eventers have found good form in the France and UK over the weekend.

Several kiwi Eventers travelled to Royal Jump 2026 in France where Olympian Clarke Johnstone was second, fourth and seventh in the CCI4*-L. The 47-strong class was won by Gemma Stevens (GBR) aboard Flash Cooley on 24.4 penalty points with Clarke and Menlo Park second on 27.6. Sparky Lad fourth on 29.8, with Rocket Man in seventh on 30.8.

James Avery and Dallas 13 finished ninth in the 75-strong CCI4*-S on 32 penalty points. The class was won by Clara Cazeneuve (FRA) aboard Dolce Gabana on 29.8. Jonelle Price and LSF The Boss were fifth in the CCI2*-L on 32.2. The class was won by Andrew Downes (GBR) on Jaksparo on 30.9.

Meanwhile in the UK New Zealand placed third in the FEI Nations’ Cup competition at Bicton International The non-selected team of Vicky Browne-Cole on Cutting Edge, Ginny Thomasen with Katchafire, Abby Jones on Henton Audacious and Tayla Mason with E.G. Tiger Chilli finished on 199.5 penalty points in the CCIO4*-NC-S, behind winners Great Britain on 135.6 and the United States on 182.2.

ESNZ is pleased to announce the 2026 Jumping Trans Tasman Tour Squad that will compete in the Senior and Young Rider Trans-Tasman Test Series to be held In Australia across two events in August and September 2026.
• 2025 Waratah CSI1*-W – Sydney, NSW | 20th – 23rd August
• 2025 4CYTE Jumping@Willinga CSI1*-W – Bawley Point, NSW | 10th – 13th September

There are two competitions prior to the first test that athletes will use as warm up events.
The final teams of four will be named the week of each competition.
