Kia ora! I’m Emma — founder of Harley Hounds, professional treat dispenser, enthusiastic walk buddy, and fulltime admirer of every dog I meet.
If you’ve ever wondered what kind of person builds a whole business around animals… well, it’s the same person who narrates dogs’ thoughts out loud, says hi to pets before people, and proudly owns more leads than handbags. (No regrets.)
I’ve always had a soft spot for the quirky, the shy, the wiggly, the worried, and the wonderfully weird.
Animals with big personalities? Love them. Animals with complicated histories? EXTRA love them.
In fact, two of them — my rescues, Luca and Harley — are the reason Harley Hounds exists at all. They taught me patience, gentleness, and the art of celebrating tiny victories… like touching a new toy without suspicion or walking past a rubbish bin without giving it side-eye.
These days, I bring that same mix of kindness, humour, and understanding into every walk and visit.
