Our Aspiring team has had an amazing (busy) May out in the field looking after our Dairy heifer rearing clients!

We have all the heifers squared away safely for the upcoming winter months with another successful teatsealing season.

Teatsealing is a process used to create a plug in the teat canal to reduce the risk of infection and issues occurring within the udder. It is always a very satisfying job and enjoyed by all involved even if our fingers do start off cold in the mornings.

Our team are now looking forward to the calf disbudding season coming up in the spring 😊

Our first Gastroscope day with Tim Montgomery from Randlab was a great success.

Helping to diagnose gastric ulcers in horses by visualising the stomach using an endoscope, veterinarians can determine the location, size and severity of ulcers, which helps guide treatment decisions

Our Equine team on the day was Dr Lachie Dellar, Dr Cindy Spatholz and Nurse Lydia Beales

It was also great to host some 5th year Massey Students. It was a great learning day all round.
