💙 Meet Sapphire – The Treat-Fuelled Pocket Rocket! 💙

Looking for a best friend who will make you laugh, keep you on your toes, then curl up beside you for cuddles? Meet Sapphire, a 12-week-old Staffy x Husky with a BIG personality packed into a little body!

Sapphire has been in foster care for four weeks and has made fantastic progress. When she arrived, she needed help with food resource guarding and impulse control. With patience, consistency and plenty of treats, this clever girl has come a long way!

🐾 **Sapphire already knows:**
• Sit
• Down
• Wait for food
• Crate training – she sleeps in her crate overnight and often puts herself to bed during the day!
• She has also started clicker training and LOVES learning.

If treats are involved, Sapphire will be there in a flash! She is enthusiastic, eager to please and loves working with her people.

When she’s not showing off her smarts, she’s busy being a puppy! She loves:
🎾 Fetch
🏃 Zoomies around the backyard
🐕 Chase games
💙 Cuddles with her favourite humans
😋 Anything remotely snack-related!

Sapphire has met both dogs and cats in foster care. She could happily live with a confident cat and would benefit from a well-mannered, confident dog to help teach her good canine manners.

As she’s still learning about the world and developing her self-control, Sapphire needs a home committed to continuing her training. She would be best suited to a home without small children, with owners who can give her the time, patience and guidance she needs to reach her full potential.

Behind all that puppy energy is a sweet, affectionate girl who adores people and loves nothing more than snuggling up with the staff after a busy day.

Meet Phoenix: A true survivor!

Some cats have an easy start to life, but Phoenix’s story is one of incredible resilience. Found near the river—severely emaciated and dehydrated to the point of being nearly gone—she was given a second chance at life. True to her name, she rose from that beginning and is now well and truly thriving!

Because of her past, Phoenix can be a little shy when you first meet her. But please don't let that fool you. Once she takes her time to warm up and realizes she is safe, she reveals the absolute loveliest, sweetest nature.

Building a bond with a cat who has known hardship is an experience unlike any other. Putting in that initial time and patience will give you the most rewarding relationship you could ever dream of—she truly deserves all the love in the world.

Hello Honey!! 🐾❤️

Ruahine Animal Rescue is looking for a loving home for this absolute sweetheart!

She is super, super cuddly and just wants to be wherever her people are. She is the kind of dog who is happiest simply being part of the family and getting plenty of love and attention. 🥰

She has been hanging out beautifully with her foster family's orphan lambs and her two foster brother dogs, and she has been lovely with children. She would make a fantastic family dog or companion dog.

🐑 Great around the lambs
🐶 Gets along well with other dogs
👧 Lovely with kids
🛏️ Crate trained
🍖 Sits nicely and waits when being fed
❤️ Very affectionate and cuddly

She is inquisitive about cats, this is something her new family will need to keep up training with — she has been taught that cats are for sniffing politely. 😊

She is also a bit of a big sook when she is told no 😂 — she definitely lets you know that she isn't impressed!

Overall, she is just a beautiful, loving girl who wants to be with her people. She would suit a family looking for a loyal companion, or someone wanting a lovely dog who will happily spend her days by your side. ❤️

We have four gorgeous little personalities ready to melt some hearts! ❤️ These pups are all learning, growing and discovering the world — and each one is looking for a family who will love them completely and continue their training as they grow.

🐶 ATA — Female | 10 weeks
Ata is a beautiful little girl who absolutely LOVES a good cuddle, but she's also perfectly happy to wander off and entertain herself.
✨ Crate trained�✨ Making great progress with house training�✨ Loves playing with dogs of all sizes�✨ Getting bolder and more confident every day
Ata needs a family who is prepared to love her wholeheartedly and continue working with her on basic training. She's going to make a wonderful companion for the right family. 💕

🐶 STEVIE — Female | 8 weeks
“Hi, I'm Stevie! I get my name from my heavy metal voice!” 🤘😂
Stevie is learning fast how to be a big dog and is already showing just how clever she is!
✨ Has mastered the puppy steps onto the bed and couch�✨ Uses the dog door to let herself outside�✨ Loves going for car rides 🚗�✨ Has a cat brother who keeps her in line! 🐱�✨ Learning boundaries and basic manners
House training is still a work in progress — especially when it's frosty or raining outside (and honestly, we don't blame her! 🥶🌧️).
Stevie is a cheeky, clever little girl with plenty of personality and lots of love to give. ❤️

🐶 MACK — Male
Mack had a heartbreaking start, arriving malnourished and unloved, but he's now showing everyone what a gorgeous boy he can be. ❤️
✨ Gets on very well with other foster dogs�✨ Already knows sit�✨ Almost fully house trained and asking to go outside�✨ Loves cuddles�✨ Enjoys exploring outdoors independently�✨ Has started lead training with a little harness
Mack is currently on four feeds a day to help him build up his strength, so he needs a home where someone can be around during the day to keep up with his feeding schedule.
He's come such a long way already, and we're looking for someone who will give him the love, patience and security he deserves. 🥰

🐾 Meet Mila! 🐾

Are you ready for a whole lot of tail-wagging happiness? Meet Mila, the happiest little girl who loves to prance and wiggles with her entire body when she greets you!

This clever girl already knows her name and is happy to tag along for a run on sunny days. She is well on her way to being house-trained (though she definitely decided she loves it even more once she got her fancy puffer jacket!).

When she's all tired out from playing, Mila's favorite pastimes include snoozing in her fluffy bed alongside her foster brothers and sister, or curling up right on top of her favorite humans. While she isn't a huge fan of her crate unless dinner is being served inside it, her sweet personality more than makes up for it!

Mila is looking for her forever home where she can share all her love, prances, and whole-body wiggles.

Meet Minnie — a gorgeous Staffordshire cross who is looking for her very own person to love.

Minnie is one of those dogs who just wants to be by your side. She is incredibly affectionate, loves to please, and is happiest when she knows she’s with her person. 💕

She’s also food motivated and super clever, which means she picks things up quickly and is eager to learn. With the right person, Minnie has so much potential to blossom into an amazing companion. 🐾

Of course, Minnie isn’t without a few quirks — but we think her good points far outweigh them!

🐱 Cats aren’t her thing, so she’ll need a cat-free home.

🏠 Being left alone is difficult for Minnie. She can become anxious and, unfortunately, that anxiety can turn into a serious case of “what can I chew next?” 😂 So she’s looking for someone who understands her needs and can help her build confidence and learn that being alone is okay.

Minnie isn’t looking for a perfect home. She’s looking for her person — someone patient, loving and willing to help her become the best version of herself.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER APPEAL: Beautiful boy needs a home urgently! 🚨

Ruahine Animal Rescue has an urgent situation. We have a precious dog coming into our care, and he cannot go into a shelter environment. He urgently needs a safe, temporary foster home where he can decompress and feel secure.

Can you open your heart and your home to him?

What we provide: All food, medical care, and supplies are covered by the rescue.

What you provide: A quiet space, patience, and a whole lot of love while we find his forever family.
