Available for adoption Jack 💙

At 7 years old, Jack the Greyhound cross is searching for a special someone to call his own.

Jack is a people-focused dog through and through. He loves being close to his humans and is happiest when he’s included in day-to-day life.

Because he forms such strong bonds, Jack isn’t suited to a home where he’s left alone for long periods. He thrives on companionship and will do best with someone who has plenty of time to spend with him.

Jack is a clever, active boy who likes to keep life interesting. He’s also incredibly athletic and can clear fences with surprising ease, so he’ll need a home with secure, high fencing and owners who understand the importance of keeping him safe and supervised.

He enjoys his walks and is lovely on lead, but he is still working on his social skills with other dogs. For now, he will need to stay on lead when out and about.

Jack is looking for:

• An adult-only home

• No other animals

• High, secure fencing

• Someone home most of the day

• An experienced and committed owner

If you think you could offer Jack the stable, loving home he’s looking for, we’d love to hear from you.

Please contact the dog team on 04 392 3232 ext 2 or email [email protected] to find out more.

COMMUNITY REHOME - Tikokeno, Central Hawke’s Bay

Millie is a 17 year old, 16hh black mare looking for a new home as a paddock mate. Sadly, her current owner does not have the land to keep her long term and would like to find her a kind and loving home with lots of space and good horsey company. Millie went straight from racing to being a broodmare and has had at least 6 foals. It’s time for her to have a rest from breeding now and to retire. We have not met the lovely Millie but this is what we have been told about her…

“Millie is a sensible, good-natured and affectionate mare. She is good to handle and also good with other horses - currently grazing with her foal and two minis. Millie does not seem bothered by the neighbouring cattle or sheep and is accustomed to dogs. She has no known health issues but does have a cribbing habit and wears a collar to prevent this.”
If you think you could provide Millie with a loving long-term home please contact Kieran to have a chat on 021 9555 28 or email at [email protected]

Tommo is still waiting and looking for love ❤️

Available for adoption - Tommo - A real ladies man!

Tommo is a big, beautiful, and truly special boy who’s ready to find
his perfect forever home. At 3 years old, he’s already shown
incredible resilience — after coming into our care with a serious
blocked bladder, he received urgent treatment and made a fantastic
recovery thanks to our amazing vet team.

We thought that we had found a wonderful home for him but whilst he
loved the lady of the house, he was less than impressed with the man
of the house so we are looking for a female only house, perhaps a
retired or single lady to spoil him rotten.  He absolutely adores
attention, especially from the right person. He forms deep, loving
bonds with women and thrives in a calm, gentle environment where he
feels safe and understood.
He would do best as the only pet in the home, without dogs or other
animals, so he can enjoy a peaceful, low-stress lifestyle.

Tommo is at our Haywards shelter, to meet him please call the cat team
on [email protected] or call 04 392 3232 ext 3

Cece is still looking for her forever home

** COMMUNITY REHOME **

Cece - Currently located in Lower Hutt

We have not met the lovely Cece, but we have been asked to help her owners find her a forever home. This is what we have been told...

Cece is a five year old German Shepherd girl with a huge heart, a goofy smile, and personality to spare. She is affectionate, playful, and loves cuddles, zoomies, and even playing hide and seek with her humans.

Cece is very good with babies and children and absolutely loves being part of the family. She is a rescue girl originally from WCC and, like many rescue dogs, she does have some separation anxiety at times and doesn’t really enjoy being left alone. She thrives when she has companionship, routine, and reassurance from her people.

Cece is desexed and was fully vaccinated.

She will need an experienced and confident owner who can continue helping her with boundaries, guidance, and structure. She is eager to please and has so much potential in the right home. Her owners feel she would do best in a semi-rural property where she can have space to relax and enjoy life without too much stimulation.

Cece can be reactive toward other dogs, so she would be best suited as the only dog in the home. She also does not like cats.

This beautiful girl deserves a patient and understanding forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and supported while continuing to build confidence.

If you think you could offer Cece the right home, please contact her owner directly on 027 392 9330.
