🎓🐾 Congratulations to our July Puppy Class graduates! 🐾🎓
Over the past few weeks, these puppies have been learning important foundation skills including sit, stay, down, and come.
Along the way, they also enjoyed:
- A low-stress nail trim and nurse consult
- A tour of the clinic to help build confidence
- Plenty of positive socialisation
- Fun games and enrichment activities

𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗧𝗧 - Locally Produced Children's Book

A short story about a wild tabby cat which arrived on the farm just before harvest. He peeped around the edge of the wheat crop looking for food. He was named Crooney Crockett because of his tuneful miaow and that his large fluffy tail looked like the tail on Davy Crockett's hat. After many dramas, including a visit to the Veterinary Centre Timaru by the Big Blue Cross, he's now an accepted part of the Lavery cat family.

Visit the Veterinary Centre Timaru on Friday 17 July 2026 at 1.30pm where there will be a special book launch and reading for the children.

This kitten have been de-sexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and had a flea and worm treatment applied. We will also give you a starter pack which has everything your new kitten needs to settle into their new home. All this for the great value of just $169.

We are busy organising our 2026 Sheep & Beef Winter Roadshows and would like to invite all sheep & beef farmers along to one of our four locations below.

• Multimin for sheep. What can it add to lamb survival and performance.
• Halter for Cattle: Virtual fencing and efficiencies for beef.

An obedient dog is a much more pleasurable experience for owners and people the dog comes in contact with than an uncontrollable dog. Just being able to give the command to SIT, WAIT and HEEL is essential. And your puppy enjoys knowing it's boundaries as well.

𝗣𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗣𝗥𝗘-𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 – We are running four Puppy Pre-School Classes each month in Oamaru, Timaru and Waimate. This is a great opportunity to socialise your new puppy, as well as starting their training. Enrolments are essential and we try to limit numbers to 8 puppies (each 4 week class), so if you'd like to enrol your puppy then contact your local Veterinary Centre by the Big Blue Cross.
