Who likes to spend their holidays working? Dr Yael does!
Yael took a week out to help SPAW (a volunteer organisation) in Samoa, consulting and desexing animals in need.
Working up to 10 hours a day, 3 vets and 3 nurses desexed about 45 dogs and cats a day, as well as doing consultations for sick animals.
Outdoor surgery, a little time in the evening to appreciate island life and knowing you are making a difference is what makes this experience special.

Taupo Vet Centre supports the SPCA Snip'n'chip programme, running from now until November 30th 2025.

Go to the SPCA website to check vouchers are available for our area and register for your voucher.

For $30 with the voucher, you can get your male or female cat desexed and microchipped.
Please note dogs are not eligible.
Once you have your voucher just give us a call to book your cat in for the surgery 🐯. Vouchers are limited per area so be in quick. Any queries call our team on 3785433 🐈
