Working Equitation (WE) is a fun discipline that any horse breed & rider from any discipline can get involved in. Welcome to the Taranaki Working Equitation! What combines the beauty of dressage, the thrill of speed events, the precision of a trail class, and the skill set of a working ranch, stock or farm horse? That would be working equitation, a discipline popular in Europe and rapidly gaining

traction in the U.S, Australia and New Zealand. Founded in the mid-1990s in Portugal, Spain, France, and Italy, this international sport showcases the equitation techniques developed in countries that use horses to do ranch or/and livestock work. Working Equitation Flatwork (Dressage) and Ease of Handling phases are designed to promote ethical training and competing, long the classical style and philosophy, that has the horses education and welfare its core. Working Equitation (WE) is a fun discipline that any horse bred & rider from any discipline can get involved in. Results from the 3rd and final of the TWE High Points 2025 series and the overall winner of our 1st TWE members only trophy. Thank you to Cath Garden our fantastic judge over the all the competition days and always encouraging us all, you are very much appreciated here. Also to all the writers, all the help with setting up, moving and putting away obstacles ... I think TWE have a wonderful "can do" group of members, we are certainly blessed.... SOOOoooo Drum Roll ......

Sandy Jordan on Porsche were the Reserve Champs and Anna Hardwick-Smith on Cedar were 3rd.

Also filled in gaps on both days in the teams event and received Best Team Spirit on both occasions

Just a wee note for the Waitara PC "Have a Go Day" (2 SPACES LEFT!!!!) and the TWE #2 High Point series this weekend..( 2 SPACE LEFT!!!) Last chance TODAY!!!

🐎- Yellow tagged helmets are required, Linda Huitson will be at the grounds both days from 9.30am to tag helmets that comply and body protectors if you need that tagged too.

🐎 - Entries for both days will close on Tuesday 6pm, 4th Nov.
18 entries for the have a go day, only 2 slots available.
10 entries for the TWE #2 High Point series

🐎 - Payment for entries required by Wednesday 4pm, 5th Nov.
This enables the schedule and draw times to be put together and confirmed. You will be messaged or emailed payment owing if already part paid.
$10 - One Off admin fee
Saturday, Have a Go Day - Non Members $20 - Free for Members.
Sunday, TWE #2 High Point series - Non Members $40 -
