**NZ Grown & Made Leg Up 🐴✨**
After the response to our recent sunflower crop photos, we thought we’d share another look behind the scenes, this time from a beautiful family farm in the Fairlie Basin growing top quality r**eseed for us. These photos are from spring flowering, when the paddocks turn golden before the crop is harvested and brought back to us for pressing. The seed is cold pressed to produce the base oil used in our Leg Up Performance Oil and Conditioner Oil ranges. The remaining meal is then carefully extruded to support digestibility, creating a quality feed option that’s easy to add into your horse’s existing diet. As we head into winter, Leg Up r**eseed and sunflower meals are a popular way to help maintain weight and condition, with quality protein, cool energy and support for topline and coat shine. Our oils are another great option for horses needing extra energy, general conditioning support and a healthy, shiny coat.

Have you ever wondered where Leg Up Sunflower Meal comes from?.. Just down the road! 🌻🐴

These sunflowers are growing right here in central Canterbury, just a short drive from our Rolleston site. Once harvested, the seed comes straight to us to be gently cold pressed.

This process extracts the oil without heat, chemicals or additives, helping protect the natural nutrients in both the oil and the high protein meal. Because it is gentle, some natural oil remains in the meal too, which can help support coat shine and overall condition.

Leg Up Sunflower Meal is especially popular through the colder months, when pasture quality drops off and horses need a little extra support to maintain condition and topline. 🌾🐴
