Vet Nurse Awareness Week is a special time dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the incredible individuals who are the backbone of animal healthcare. These unsung heroes, often working behind the scenes, are veterinary nurses, veterinary technicians/technologists, and animal healthcare assistants. They are compassionate and skilled professionals who provide vital support to veterinarians and ensure that our beloved pets and animals receive the best care possible.

Introducing our nursing/technician team/support staff.

Jess
You will find jess mainly in clinic either behind the front desk, in surgery, nursing or out on farm. Jess is our jack of all trades.
Jess has worked here for 3 years.

What do you enjoy about being a nurse?
I have always been around animals and have passion for helping sick and injured animals. I love the rush and fast pace of surgery and emergency nursing.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my Husband Nathan and 2 kids Dixie 3 and Lemmy 2. Having family trip/days out and doing different projects around my lifestyle property.

Ellen
Ellen is a new addition to our team and will be found nursing in consults or surgery. She is a great support to our team.

What do you enjoy about being a nurse?
I enjoy coming to work each day being able to use my skills to help animals in need! I also enjoy the unknown factor of what animal is coming through the doors and being able to care for them.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy spontaneous road trips with my partner Brodie. I love taking my cat Grey for walks and hanging out with my fur baby.

Shawna
Shawna is our newest team member, Shawna will be found helping out in consults and surgery. Fresh addition to the team

What do you enjoy about being a nurse?
I have always wanted to be a vet nurse. I have a love of animal and helping the sick and injured.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like hanging out with my friends and doing group activities like ten pin bowling or golf (even though I don't think I'm very good)
I also like hanging out with my lab x Bull mastiff Duke, Cleo the cat would rather not hang out with us.

Kiera
Kiera our tech will be found on farm mainly and is a nice addition to the clinic doing our tech work.

What do you enjoy about been a vet tech?
I became a vet tech as I have a love of been outside and working with large/production animals. Even though in not a vet nurse i love to help out where i can when not on farm.
