While we don’t typically share rehoming posts for dogs not in our care, we’re happy to lend a hand for one of our own.
This beautiful Husky x Australian Shepherd is being fostered by one of our Council team members — the same person who fostered Koda the beautiful husky for us recently!💕 We’ve met this lovely boy and are happy to help spread the word to find him a great home.
"🐾 Meet Max — Your Next Adventure Buddy!
(Full name: Maximus Floofiness Cuddlius)
Max is a stunning 1.5-year-old Siberian Husky x Australian Shepherd — the perfect mix of brains, beauty, and boundless energy. Currently in foster care and looking for his forever home, Max is microchipped, desexed, and fully up to date on vaccinations. He is currently around 22kg.
💪 About Max
Max thrives on activity, structure, and adventure. Like most Husky–Shepherd mixes, he’s highly intelligent, energetic, and loyal, so he’s best suited to someone experienced with high-drive or working breeds. His ideal owner will be confident, outdoorsy, and committed to keeping both his body and mind busy.
His siblings are thriving in active homes — from agility and trail running to life on rural properties — and Max is ready to follow in their pawsteps.
He’s crate trained, knows his basic commands, and has good recall that will only improve with ongoing consistency. With his smarts, food motivation, and eagerness to please, the sky’s the limit for what he can learn.
🐕 Personality & Play
Max is a social boy who loves a good wrestle with larger dogs who match his playstyle. He’s best with confident canine companions or as an only dog in an active household. Smaller dogs can be overwhelmed by his enthusiasm, and due to his high prey drive, he’s not suitable for homes with cats or small pets (it’s just who he is!).
He’s also not a fit for households with young children — his energy levels are better suited to older kids or adults who can match his pace.

Max’s striking looks could land him in Hollywood, and his gorgeous double coat will turn heads wherever he goes (just be prepared for regular grooming to keep it in top shape). After a full day of adventure, he’s happy to curl up for a well-earned cuddle.

Rehoming is for genuine reasons, and all applicants will go through a property check and trial period before adoption is finalised.
