⚠️‼️ Did you know Antifreeze is highly toxic to both humans and animals? ‼️⚠️

Ethylene glycol, the main component of antifreeze, can cause kidney failure or even death in your much loved pets. 😢

As it gets cooler, please ensure that any antifreeze products at home are stored in sealed containers high up and out of pet's reach. 🐾

If there are spills, be sure to clean them up thoroughly 🪣🧽

If a car is leaking coolant, make sure to have the problem fixed before letting your pet anywhere near. 🚗🐈‍⬛🐕

Be vigilant about what your dog eats or licks when out walking! Antifreeze is sweet and pets find it very appealing 😱

Meet Alfie ❤️
After being lost for 6 months Alfie was returned to his extremely happy owners! 🎉🥳
He was brought into the clinic for some vet care and we scanned him for a chip.
Luckily he was microchipped and his worried owners made sure that their contact details were up to date on the New Zealand Companion Animal Register.
His family raced down to collect him and were incredibly happy to see their wandering fur baby after all this time! 🥰
We are so grateful we were able to reunite Alfie with his family who hadn't stopped searching for him. 🔍

We LOVE a happy ending! 😻💕

This is a great reminder to make sure your fur kids are microchipped and registered on the NZCAR, and that your contact details are up to date! 📱
