Sammy came for a visit today for a freshen up before going to his new home!
I’m always happy to help Animal Services Hutt City or any dog that needs a helping hand! Animal Services do such a great job at rehoming dogs that need their help!
Hopefully we will see Sammy again, he’s such a little sweetheart!

We really don’t like sand 😅

We know the temptation, your pup has a groom booked, so why not let them have one last muddy, sandy adventure first? But arriving extra grubby means extra time is needed to get them clean and ready for grooming.

If your dog comes in extra grubby, additional charges may apply to cover the extra work required.

A quick brush-off or rinse before their appointment goes a long way, and we (and your dog!) will thank you for it

It’s official! You are allowed to park in the old Mad Butcher/ Fix Federation carpark just across the road when dropping dogs off, or picking up!
High Street north of the Laings Road intersection is closed both ways and Laings Road is only open East bound.

Good news for our High Street community!
While the High Street roadworks continue, we know how important it is for customers to easily reach their favourite local businesses. To help out, 60-minute car parks are now available at the south end of High Street (where the Mad Butcher and Fix Federation used to be). This makes it easier for you to visit that end of town and keep our High Street buzzing.
We really appreciate everyone’s patience during the construction period — and a huge shout out to the businesses that are navigating the disruption with such resilience. ❤️

Just because they are old doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to be fabulous.

Grooming needs change as our dogs age, and we believe their salon experience should change with them. If your senior dog needs a little more time, patience, or a helping hand, we are here to provide it.
To keep our seniors safe and comfortable, we offer:
• End-of-Day Appointments: A quieter salon for a low-stress environment.
• Tag-Team Support: Two groomers available to provide extra stability and comfort.
• Flexible Options: If the dryer is too much, you can bring your dog in prewashed, we can wash the day before or we can forgo the bath altogether.

As a groomer who has navigated these years with my own old soul, I prioritize safety and comfort over “perfection.” They might not leave with a show-quality cut, but they will leave feeling refreshed, comfortable, and loved.
