I have been so lucky, over the years, to have had some lovely, very successful horses and ponies of all different breeds and disciplines.

I love producing youngsters and seeing them going on, and being happy and successful with other riders and owners.

My current horse, is a lovely multi talented thoroughbred named Bon Garcon. He is an ex-racehorse (albeit very slow!). I have owned him for just over a year and we had a dream season on the show circuit, with huge success both in NZ and Australia.

I am very fussy what I use on my horses and ponies' coats. I cannot recommend Premier Rose Condition enough. I have used it for years. It is all natural and produces a beautiful shine and helps deepen the colour of the coat without attracting dust. It also helps with mane and tail growth. I use it daily in the summer all over the coat, mane and tail, and on show day. A little goes a long way, and buying the Premier Rose Conditioner 'Concentrate' makes it very cost effective. When competing in the summer, I found the Rose Conditioner that had the added natural fly repellent fantastic, an all in one product! I can also use Rose Conditioner on the racehorses on raceday for that added shine as this is the only real product that I trust that has no silicone and will not make the gear slip!

Do you have a horse with a long mane?
And it constantly gets into knots and dreads??

Here is a step by step guide .. if you are really short on time and just need to get rid of those hideous dreads 🙈🙈🙈

You can shampoo and condition if you like… I however skipped this step as it was getting dark pretty quick.

Firstly :
Spray liberally with Premier Equine Rose Spray and massage it into the mane. This help stop breakages in the hair, and will of course help with regrowth.

Step 2:
Generously apply Show n Tail
Mane & Tail detangler, and massage in.
Using your comb, start from the bottom and slowly comb through the hair to remove dreads / knots.

See our example below…
You will of course lose some mane, as a lot of hair gets ripped out when it becomes dreads.
But you certainly don’t lose much.
Works on manes and tails brilliantly 🤩🤩
