Excitement is building at the Foxton Racecourse for the teams showhunter champs- practice/eye opener rounds were ridden today and I was very impressed with how well everyone went in the challenging weather (brrrrr!!!)

Team LPE rider Evie Banks is representing Pauatahanui Pony Club and her pony Tika is feeling fabulous thanks to Harvest Grains and looking tidy and presentable thanks to our friends at The Honey Trap

First competition day tomorrow, so everyone is off for some well earned zzzzzzzzzzs 😴😴😴

Team LPE rider Evie Banks is working hard leading up to showhunter team champs- we've set some goals for improvement, and she's got the determination and focus......today's session was fantastic for learning how to maintain the correct canter leads and tomorrow we will work on jumping accuracy.

Tika is powered by Harvest Grains and kept looking fancy with natural products from The Honey Trap 💓🎯👌✨️

This is your advance warning......we've only got ONE Northern Phoenix and you're gonna want him!

3yr old Phoenix (EMH 16.2hh) has been incredibly straightforward to start under saddle, retains information like a champ and is confident and self assured.

With championship conformation wins already inhand, he'll be ready to hit the ground running in saddle hunter, dressage, showhunter....you name it he'll do it and he'll do it well.

Phoenix will be available to a new home in a few weeks time.....keep an eye out for his full ad.

After a couple of days off for torrential rain, Northern Phoenix had his 5th breaker session today and we backed him.

As with any young horse in the wind and rain, he did the following things wrong:
......oh wait, no he didn't....he didn't do anything wrong AT ALL (a trademark ;) )

First session with a rider on his back on the lead, and we have squeeze for go, good brakes, and a very light and easy left/right.

Measured today at just under 16hh, he will mature 16.2hh.

Super quality young horse for the future.

Congratulations to all riders who have been selected to represent their pony clubs at the 2025 Manawatu Show Hunter Champs.

Team LPE rider Evie Banks will be riding for Pauatahanui Pony Club on Tickety Boo Boo, and I will be traveling down to support her leading up to this exciting event.

I will have some limited coaching spaces available from the 23rd Sept onwards based in Foxton, so if anyone would like a lesson please enquire ASAP as these will go fast.

Congratulations to all team members, reserves and coaches and I cant wait to catch up with everyone during Champs weekend :)
