One final piece of business from us for the year. 🐴✨

Guy and Leah will be on site at the 100th Karaka Yearling Sale for Book One, Book Two, and the Summer Sale. If you’re interested in buying into a yearling, there are ownership options to suit everyone, whether that’s 1%, 2%, or 100%, and whether you’re completely new to racing or already involved with the stable. We’d love to chat.

📣 Game Lodge Racing – Weekly Wrap Up | 21.12.25 🐴⭐️🎄

Another great week here at Game Lodge, with plenty happening and lots to celebrate as we head into Christmas.

On the racing front, we couldn’t quite crack a win but picked up two seconds with Sol del Otono and Zorero, who both raced really well.

Behind the scenes, Guy and Bridgy visited Little Avondale and collected our final foals for the season. That brings us to six beautiful youngsters, all now back at Kiwikawa, growing and developing until they are weaned in March. 🐴✨

Our stable kitten naming competition is also going strong, with entries closing this Sunday 28th, and we’ve loved seeing all the creative suggestions coming through. 🐾❤️

So many things to celebrate this week, and we are incredibly grateful for all the support we receive. This will be our final weekly wrap-up before Christmas, and we just want to say thank you to everyone who follows along and supports the team.

Merry Christmas to you all. We truly couldn’t do what we do without you. 🎄🐴❤️

Goodbye to our boy Nightowl, better known as Billy ❤️🐎

Billy arrived at Kiwikawa as a weanling and grew up on the farm, developing into a lovely big horse. He had six starts for four seconds, an incredibly honest horse who always gave his all.

Now sold to Australia 🇦🇺, we’re excited to see the next chapter of his journey unfold. He is bred by our dear friends Briar and Tim Macphee, who have kept a 10% share in him, in Tim’s words, “for a bit of fun”.

📣 Game Lodge Racing – Weekly Wrap Up | 15.12.25 🐴⭐️🎄

What a lovely week here at Game Lodge as we head full steam toward Christmas.

The biggest highlight was definitely our Game Lodge Christmas dinner. A huge thank you to Guy and Bridgy for hosting us. It was such a great night and so special to get everyone together away from the early mornings. Plenty of laughs, good food, and a very happy team. ❤️🥂

On the racing front, we were pleased with some solid performances. Spark and Nightowl both put in strong efforts to finish 2nd, while Sunshine Ale and Double Shot ran honest races to finish 4th. It has been great to see the horses continuing to show consistency as we move through the busy summer period. 💪🐎

Looking ahead, it is hard to believe Christmas is almost here. The team is still working incredibly hard through the warm days, keeping everything ticking along as we head into the festive season.

And of course, we have our new kittens that we need help naming so please head over to our page to enter. 🐾❤️

🤫🐭 Don’t tell Guy… but we may have organised a couple of very important new recruits for the stables!

We’re welcoming two little mouse and rat hunters to the Game Lodge team, and we need your help naming them. Both are little girls, rescued from under a house, and they’ll be ready to officially move into our stables next year, after being desexed. 🐾❤️

We’re looking for a duo name, something fun, quirky, and a bit out there. Think names that go perfectly together!
