🌧️ What a week of wild weather! 🌧️

The team is very thankful that we’re not out on the road transporting pets in these conditions. Seeing reports of overturned trailers, wheelie bins blowing down the roads, and ferry sailings being cancelled really shows just how challenging the weather has been.

Please make sure all your pets are safe, warm, and sheltered during this storm. ❤️🐾

Our 4–10th July Pet Trip is now almost fully booked, so if you’ve been meaning to book, now is the time to get in touch before the last spaces are gone.

We’ll be finalising the schedule over the weekend, and meet point text messages will start going out Monday through Wednesday next week.

❄️ Snow days are beautiful… but they can make travelling a little more challenging! ❄️

We love seeing New Zealand covered in snow – it’s stunning to look at! While winter roads can make for an interesting journey, you can rest easy knowing your pets are in safe hands.

Our experienced drivers have many years of driving New Zealand roads in trucks and know how to handle changing weather and road conditions safely.

• Heating runs 24 hours a day – not just while we’re driving.
• Our units are maintained at a comfortable 18–22°C.
• Rooftop ventilation keeps fresh, clean air circulating throughout the journey.
• We carry plenty of food, water, and supplies for every pet, so we’re prepared for any unexpected delays.

There’s no need to send extra blankets or dog coats with your pet. Our transport units are designed to keep everyone warm, comfortable, and safe throughout the trip, whatever the weather throws at us.

Just a quick update from me.

I’m heading to Auckland City Hospital for further testing over the next few days. These tests are being done to help ensure the next round of surgery can be carried out as safely as possible.

As a result, my replies may be a little slower than usual. The team is also taking a few well-earned days off after our recent pet trip, so please bear with us over the coming week while we work through messages and bookings.

Our next pet trip is 4th–10th July, and spaces are filling fast. If you’re planning on booking transport, please get in touch as soon as possible to secure your spot.

🚐🐾 4–10th July Pet Trip Update 🐾🚐

Due to the ongoing issues through the Awakino Gorge, we will unfortunately not be returning through New Plymouth on the northbound leg of this trip.

Instead, our return route will travel through:
📍 Whanganui
📍 Taumarunui
📍 Te Kuiti

This is the safest and most reliable option for us when planning schedules in advance and helps ensure we can continue providing dependable service for all clients.

For those travelling south:
✅ Kerikeri clients will be seen on Day 1 for pets heading south.

For our Taranaki clients:
✅ New Plymouth clients will be serviced by the small unit on Day 2. We will complete north drop-offs and collect pets travelling south on the July run.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding while we work around the current road conditions and keep both our team and your pets moving safely.

13–19th June Pet Trip – Done and Dusted! 🐾

All pets have been delivered safely, and another successful trip is complete.

This trip saw a huge number of ducks and chickens travelling with us. A massive thank you to the crews at both ends for their prompt teamwork loading and unloading. Amazing work by everyone involved, and best of all – no escapees! 🦆🐔

We also transported large numbers of working and hunting dogs, along with plenty of pups heading to their new homes and adventures.

Don’t forget our Working & Hunting Dog Discount is still running, so get your bookings in early to secure your space on an upcoming trip.

Please note that a few meet points will be unavailable on this trip due to current road issues. We will post a detailed trip update next week outlining any changes and alternative arrangements.

The team enjoyed transporting this large ostrich on our latest trip! 🦤

He was an absolute pleasure to travel with right up until unloading time, when he decided he quite liked the trailer and tried his best to convince us he should come back onboard! 😂

We love having something a little different on our trips. From puppies and kittens to poultry, livestock, reptiles, and the occasional ostrich, every trip brings something unique and keeps life interesting.

It’s all part of what makes pet and animal transport such a rewarding job. ❤️🚚
