PARC (Pukahu & Hawkes Bay Adult Riding Club)

PARC (Pukahu & Hawkes Bay Adult Riding Club) Our aim is to cater for all levels of riders. We also hold a few shows each year where lots of ribbons and cool prizes can be up for grabs. Hope to see you soon!

Pukahu & Hawkes Bay Adult Riding Club was established by a group of likeminded individuals who had a common interest in coming together and enjoying our horses our beautiful district and each other's company. PARC (Pukahu and Hawkes Bay Adult Riding Club) is a fun and friendly riding club that allows any and all levels of riders 21yrs and over to come and enjoy rallies of many kinds. We all get to

gether and encourage each other, whether it be show jumping, eventing, dressage, trekking, training, playing around, hoof ball and anything you can think of. PARC is committee run and we hold our AGM where every member can come and vote, nominate or just have a say. We are always open to suggestions and good ideas – the best part is, if you want to see a rally or event happen, you can organise it yourself so it’s exactly how you imagined. So if you’re in the Hawkes Bay area, whether you’re near or far, we’d love to hear from you and join our ranks. Membership is only $40 per year, and our club grounds are at the Hawkes Bay Equestrian Park in Flaxmere, Hastings. There are heaps of facilities at our disposal, so come check them out.

Hi all,

Slight change to our Christmas festivities this year. Due to just how flat-out things get in December we have decided to postpone our usual Xmas competition to early next year.

However, we will be running a fun Xmas practice day on the 7th instead. We will still have ring classes, pole challenge, jumping and a cowboy challenge.

We would love you to come along and have some fun with your equine counterparts. We will have some “judges” to give you feedback and give you an opportunity to have a dabble at everything.

An entry fee of $20 can be made to the club account and to register please send an email to our PARC email address.

Events include: inhand showing, under saddle showing, fancy dress, pole challenge, fun games, shepherds hack, jumping (2 low level hights)
In addition, there will be an opportunity for more experienced horses/riders to take advantage of bigger jump classes that will be operated by the local Pony Club on the grounds on the same day (note there may be an additional fee for these classes TBC) and to have a go riding through the western club obstacles (although this may also attract an additional fee).

Hi everyone, you should have received by now the meeting minutes from our AGM which explains our current position as a club. We are in a predicament and if we do not have people put their hands up to form a committee. then we have some decisions to make as to our future. Worst case scenario is to dissolve PARC as it is, which would be a shame or to merge with another club. Please start thinking about what we can all do as individuals.
