“Plecos clean your tank for you!” If only it were that simple!
Some Plecos may graze on algae, but don't let them fool you into thinking they're little aquarium cleaners. In fact, they're little p**p machines! 😂
Like all fish, plecos produce waste, which adds to your aquarium's bioload. Many species also need supplementary foods, such as algae wafers and vegetables, depending on their diet.
And remember, algae-eating doesn't mean waste-disappearing! You'll still need regular water changes, filter maintenance and proper tank care to keep your aquarium healthy. 💧
