Why do we clip horses in winter? ❄️🐴
When horses are in work through the colder months, they can grow a thick winter coat that causes them to sweat heavily during exercise. Clipping helps them cool down more efficiently, dry faster after work, and stay comfortable throughout their training.
It might look a little strange seeing a horse clipped in winter, but it actually helps us manage their wellbeing and performance while they’re in full work.
A fresh clip, a warm rug, and they’re ready to go. ✂️✨
