We are looking for a passionate horsey person who is keen to work with our team. Ideally someone who is happy to work on the ground, manage the morning and afternoon routine and taking top care of the horses.

You need to love horses, ideally love racing and have some knowledge of race horses and the industy.

Riding is an option for the right applicant, either in work racehorses, flat schooling and educating the younger horses.

You’ll be working with vets, physios, dentist, farrier and the rest of the VL team!

This is a busy industry and requires someone who loves the job, works hard and can stay focused. This is a FULL time job. So only apply if you genuinely think you are match.

The VL Racing team are in action at Sandown in Melbourne today. This time in the role of owners.

Princess Painton (NZ) formerly owned and trained by us here in NZ was purchased by OTI racing after her first trial and is now trained by the powerful Phillip Stokes stable out of Pakenham (VIC).

She lines up in race 1 at Sandown (1300m) with top jockey Blake Shinn booked to ride.

We will be cheering her on from home!!!!

4th Place - Kuroko (NZ)

Very pleasing performance by Kuroko (NZ) today.
The addition of blinkers sharpened him up and helped him land on the speed. He sustained a strong gallop until 100m from the line when his fitness got the better of him. He will benefit greatly from the outing and will be in contention next time out!!!

Thanks to his wonderful owners who have been so patient in allowing him to mature.

Fanta (Palace Pier x Margaux c**t) didn’t account for hacking around the farm checking the horses on his Friday night. A bit of variation and independence is essential for young horses during their breaking in prep.

The VL Bloodstock team head to the races in search of black type today.

2yo filly Stockpin (TARZINO X Likeapins) makes her Raceday debut in the Phils Electrical & Gipsy Caravans - Ryder Stakes (1200m)

After strong trial performances and a week at Ruakaka this filly has absolutely thrived in her work and this has been her target race all prep.

She travelled down super and looks a picture.
