Our Handsome Ginger Boy Escanor is looking for His Forever Home! 🧡

Escanor is a beautiful 5-year-old ginger boy who is currently staying with one of our wonderful foster carers while he waits for the perfect home.

Escanor is a lovely boy but he is looking for a very specific home where he can truly thrive. He would do best as the only cat in the household, with no children, allowing him to enjoy a calm and quiet environment. Escanor would also love a home where he can have safe access to the outdoors, as he enjoys exploring and spending time outside.

Please note that Escanor does have a history of urinary issues, so his new family will need to be understanding of his ongoing health needs and committed to providing him with the care and monitoring he requires.

A ginger cat was found deceased on the side of the road opposite the Coffee Hut on Sunnybrae Road this morning between 9:00am and 10:00am.

Unfortunately, this cat does not have a microchip.

🐱 Does anyone recognise this lovely girl? 🐱

This female cat has been visiting a property in Glenfield (near Agincourt Street) twice daily for over a month.

She is very friendly and affectionate but appears to be a little underweight, with fleas present and no obvious indication of an owner. She is always extremely hungry and eagerly finishes any food offered to her. Despite being comfortable around people and another resident cat, she prefers to stay outside and has not come indoors.

We would love to reunite her with her family if she has one. If nobody comes forward, the finder is happy to provide her with a loving home.

!ANNOUNCEMENT!:
As many of you may not know, tomorrow will be Dr Robyn’s last day with us at Glenfield Vets. We want to thank her for all of her hard work, care, and dedication to both our patients and clients over her time with us. We wish her all the very best for her next chapter.

With this change, our clinic will be going through a few adjustments over the coming weeks while we work on updating and reorganising our schedule. During this time, we kindly ask for patience and understanding from our community as our team adapts to these changes.

We also ask that any repeat medication requests are made at least 24–48 hours in advance to allow enough time for our vets to review and prepare prescriptions. Please make sure to organise repeat medications early where possible to avoid running out.

Thank you all for your continued kindness and support. We truly appreciate it.

Buddy is looking for his forever home 🖤

Buddy is a sweet, affectionate boy just over 1 year old who is looking for a calm and loving new home where he can feel safe, settled, and happy.

He is a handsome black cat with a small white tuft on his chest and a beautiful soft, glossy coat. Buddy enjoys routine and loves being close to his people — whether that is curling up nearby on the couch or quietly keeping you company around the house. Once comfortable, he is a very loving companion.

Buddy was rescued as a kitten and has been dearly loved by his current owners.

Buddy is currently thriving on a prescription diet after previously struggling with a food allergy that affected his skin and coat. Since starting the diet, he has done extremely well.

He has been living as an indoor cat due to a busy road, though he may enjoy safe outdoor access in the right environment with a gentle introduction.

Buddy would likely do best in a quieter home without young children. Older children may be fine, and while he has not been tested with other pets in the home, he was previously social with other kittens while in rescue care.

This has been an incredibly hard decision for his owners, and finding the right home for Buddy is very important to them.

This little fella was found on Rosalind Road, Glenfield.

FOUND DOG – TAKAPUNA

We have had a female dog brought into the clinic after being found in Takapuna.

She is not wearing a collar and does not have a microchip. She appears friendly but quite nervous, so we’re doing our best to keep her comfortable while we look for her owner.

UPDATE: FOUND!!
!Missing Cat!:
Rex lives at Waitakere Gardens Retirement Village in Henderson and has gone missing. He did not return home on the evening of Tuesday 21st April.

Rex has a very distinctive meow, so he may be nearby but possibly shut in somewhere or injured.

Notices have been placed around the village, but if you see or hear anything, please get in touch.
