Patient of the week ⭐️
Meet our patient of the week - Litten. Litten is a 10-year-old male Domestic Short Hair and is one of the sweetest and cuddliest patients ever! Over the past month, he’s been in and out of the clinic due to a serious condition called a urinary blockage, where cats are unable to pass urine - this can quickly become life-threatening.

Despite multiple procedures to relieve the blockage and place a urinary catheter, Litten continued to re-block. To give him the best chance at a normal life, we performed a perineal urethrostomy. This is a surgery that creates a wider, permanent opening to allow urine to pass more easily and prevent future blockages.

Despite all of this, he continued to give the whole team cuddles. The good news - Litten is now on the mend and recovering at home, surrounded by lots of love πŸ’›
