Temperatures inside of a car increases significantly, wether the window is rolled down. Parking in the shade or closed parking lot can reduce the temperature in a car, however the car can still get too hot for your pet. Leaving your pet in a hot car for even a few minutes can result in heatstroke which can be fatal.
Leave someone in the car with your pet who can have the aircon running, there is water in the car or let someone stand outside in a safe shaded space with the pet.
