Aw, what a wonderful review from a parent 💛 It really makes what we do so worthwhile. The little milestones and seeing the difference the horses make in people’s lives means everything to us. We’re very lucky to do something we truly love every day… especially in this glorious weather ☀️

“Thank you so much for the incredible difference you have made in Gracie’s life. Finding a place where she feels safe, calm, and truly understood means everything to us.

The patience, kindness, and support you have shown her has helped her confidence grow so much. Seeing her smile, relax, and build such a special connection with the horses has been so emotional for our family.

What you do is truly special, and we will always be grateful for the care and support you have given our daughter.”

🏅🐴 Well done to all our riders at the Kingdom County Show this weekend! 🐴🏅

A fantastic weekend of horsemanship, learning and teamwork at Tralee Equestrian Centre.

We’re very proud of our competitors — including some of our younger riders out at their first outdoor show, and others experiencing the Kingdom County Fair for the first time.

There were great moments, challenges, and everything in between, but every rider gave it their all and showed real progress and determination.

Huge well done to everyone who took part — every ride is progress, and we are so proud of each and every one of you. 🐴

~ 12 Month Scholarship – Train for your BHSI ~

Talland have an exciting 12-month scholarship for someone looking to train for their BHSI

To apply, you need to be BHSII/ Stage 4 Coach qualified (we would consider an applicant with the Stage 4 coaching unit achieved whilst working towards the Stage 4 stable management/riding units).

Based on the yard at Talland, duties include teaching BHS students and clients, working on the yard providing daily care of the horses and ponies, and preparing them for lessons alongside a structured training programme. Live in position with accommodation and meals included.

Talland is the only UK Home Office Accredited Equestrian Centre able to offer BHS training Courses, as such this opportunity is open to both prospective UK, and International students able to fulfil entry criteria, and be able to undergo an enhanced DBS check or equivalent. First aid and child safeguarding would be a bonus, but training will be provided.

For more information, and to apply, please send your CV and details to [email protected] for the attention of Emma Harford.

Please share far and wide!

We were thrilled to see our mascot horse Sebastian helping the Garda promote safe driving around horses today at the county fair!
A huge thank you to the Gardaí for helping to promote road safety and awareness around horses throughout the day.
It was wonderful to see such positive engagement with the public.
Remember — when passing horses on the road, always pass wide and slow. 🐴

🐴 Equine Therapy & Equine Assisted Learning in Kerry 🐴

As the leading provider of Equine Therapy (ET) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) in Kerry since 2003, we’re proud to have supported individuals and families for over two decades — and even prouder that some of our original clients are still with us 23 years on 💛

Our dedicated, certified coaches Charlotte and Vicky bring a wealth of experience, compassion, and understanding to every session, creating a safe and supportive environment for all.

Being with horses can offer incredible benefits for people with additional needs, including:
✨ Building confidence and self-esteem
✨ Improving communication and social skills
✨ Supporting emotional regulation and reducing anxiety
✨ Encouraging focus, coordination, and sensory development
✨ Promoting independence and a sense of achievement

For individuals with autism and ADHD, time with horses can be especially powerful — helping to improve attention, routine, and connection, while providing a calming, non-judgemental environment. The natural movement of the horse also helps engage core muscles, improve balance, posture, and overall physical coordination in a gentle, enjoyable way.

Our facilities are designed with comfort and accessibility in mind — including our indoor barn and arena, so sessions can continue no matter the weather 🌧️➡️☀️
We also offer sensory trails and a dedicated sensory room to further support sensory needs and exploration.

Suitable for all ages and abilities, our programmes are tailored to meet each person’s unique needs in a calm, welcoming setting.

If you’re looking for a meaningful, engaging, and therapeutic experience, we’d love to hear from you 🐎💫
