These beautiful puppies are ‘Saarloos Wolfdogs’.

The whole litter, 9 pups in total, visited Vet Paul for their vaccinations recently.

Saarloos Wolfdogs are a wolf dog breed originating from the Netherlands by the crossing of a German Shepherd with a Siberian grey wolf.

We are delighted to report mother and calf are doing really well. As you can see from these photos, they are enjoying the sunshine and a good munch of grass!

Glen Vets guide to keeping your pet cool in the hot weather:

☀️Always provide fresh, cool water. Add ice-cubes to their water bowel.
☀️Walk during cooler times (early in the morning or later in the evening) or let them miss a walk on a really hot day, particularly older dogs.
☀️Never leave pets in parked cars in the heat.
☀️Provide shaded areas if they are outside.
☀️Provide cooling mats or damp towels for them to lie on and use fans to improve circulation indoors.
☀️Close curtains/blinds during the hottest part of the day.
☀️Freeze treats or toys
☀️Watch out for heat stress, signs include excessive panting, drooling, lethargy or vomiting. If you notice these, move them to a cool area and call Glen Vets on: 062 52992📲.
