I am a dog trainer and behaviour consultant, my passion is K9 fitness and adventure activities. We are retailers of high quality dog equipment.

I am a qualified dog trainer and have a special interest in canine fitness. I am also a qualified canine and human first aider. I have been working dogs in harness, both in Ireland and abroad, for 15 years, and ran a sled dog rescue for 7 years. I believe in and only use scientifically proven positive training methods. The classes I run include general obedience, scentwork, canicross and other s

led dog disciplines, as well as general dog fitness, such as core conditioning and body awareness. I also do one to one training and behaviour consultations in NW Ireland. I cover an area between Ballina and Dromore West for dog walking and daily visits. I also offer a wedding day service, if you would like your dog(s) to be part of your special day.

Last weekend we travelled to Dorset in England to race with NATB and BSSF. The trails were amazing but unfortunately it rained heavily in the days leading up to the race and so the trails turned to thick mud in places. Diefer and I came home with bronze in bikejore and Olli and I managed silver in scooter. So proud of the 2 boys, it was only Olli's 4th race and in the really tough conditions he did everything that was asked of him and more.
Thanks to .cz for the harnesses both boys wear, and for keeping them hydrated and healthy whilst working really hard.

New block of Puppy Training classes starting in Enniscrone on Wednesday 5th March. Suitable for pups up to 6 months of age, there are a couple of spaces left.

Also Scentwork classes for older dogs, do you want to get your dog's brain engaged and teach them new skills? Great fun for dogs and humans in a social setting.

Anyone else have a dog that hates puddles? Olli always jumps them or goes around, which can be interesting when he's working in harness!!! This morning after our scooter run we practised going through puddles. He was NOT impressed. I also used the chin attachment on my helmet for the first time, getting used to it now that I have goggles that I can wear with it. Training isn't just about speed, as in any sport, it's also about trying new things and refining skills. .cz

How fantastic, Grá Bistro in Dromore West is dog friendly. Lovely place to eat, it is my favourite place for breakfast/brunch. Great to see.

Please, please keep your animals inside tonight and check and double check your fencing tomorrow when the red warning has passed and you let them outside. Far better to have to clean your floors than lose a beloved pet.

The new year is fast approaching, so time for TED January again.
Train Every Day in January, either you and/or your dog(s). Get out for a walk, run, canicross, bikejore, mush dryland or on snow or spend time training with your dog, indoors you can do obedience, trick trainin or scentwork maybe. The idea is to be active every day through what can be a dark and sometimes difficult month for people. We have a Facebook group for posting and encouragement.

There will be different challenges throughout the month, including the popular rainbow week.

It all starts on Wednesday 1st January. No pressure just a fun way to be motivated.

Don't forget the Christmas Wag on Sunday, 29th at Lough Key Forest Park. Not an organised event, just a social get together with dogs for some canicross, bikejore, scooter, Mantrailing or walk through the forest. Get off the sofa and back out on the trails 😀 Junior parkrun is on in the forest park at 9.30 so please be aware of the children and volunteers.

There is a local 5km/3km run/walk on Enniscrone beach on Thursday at 10.30. I will then be having a social walk afterwards at 12 noon. Please adhere to the beach bye laws and keep dogs on leads if you join us, and be aware that some dogs need space from others.enniscrone is open for coffee and other hot drinks.

We had a lot of fun at the last training classes of the year this week. Proofing some commands by doing them in odd ways, and playing musical chairs and statues, as well as a couple of new behaviours. Unfortunately some of our dogs couldn't join us this week but those that did smashed it. Well done everyone

Another great training session last night. I always forget to take photos of the 2nd group with the older dogs! Last week of this block next week. Hoping to do some fun classes in the new year, scentwork included.

The Christmas Wag will be on Sunday 29th December at Lough Key Forest Park. Please remember that this isn't an organised event or race, just a date for people to meet up with their dogs and have some fun.
There is now a Junior Parkrun in Lough Key on Sunday mornings so please be aware of the children running from 9.30am.
Wear your festive attire, bring along treats to share if you wish and have some fun. The cafe will be open on that date.
