Gavin Cromwell Racing Gavin Cromwell is a trainer with a difference. Gavin started like many as a stable lad with ambition and drive.

A farrier by trade having shoed Olympian, Gold Cup and Grand National winning horses he took out a Training licence in 2005. His farrier skills are a passion and trade that he is still very much relied upon for by some of the biggest operations in the sport we all love. Experience gained abroad in Australia and at home with the likes of the late and great Dessie Hughes have stood to him when striv

ing for excellence and that shows in his operation and the results achieved. Ever since Dodder Walk landed his first success inside the rails it’s been a wonderful journey with high profile winners under both codes of flat and jumps racing. With a handful of horses given Gavin’s trademark attentive care then landing a 100k Irish Cambridgeshire with Sretaw at the Curragh or back to back Grade 1 hurdle events with stable starlet Jer’s Girl will not have surprised those that know Gavin and his team.

Flooring Porter likely out for season
“Unfortunately, it looks as though Flooring Porter will be out for the season. He’s picked up an injury and his return date suggests he’ll most likely miss the rest of this campaign. The timing of it means it’s unlikely he will be able to make it back for the big meetings in the spring, so it’s in the best interest of the horse to give him all the time he needs to recover.
“He’s been a real star for us so far so it’s really unfortunate that we won’t be able to see him again this term.
