Kilkenny’s story is more than a tale of talent — it is one of trust, patience, friendship, and Irish pride. 🇮🇪

Originally known as MHS Fernhill, the grey gelding was bred in Kilkenny and carefully produced from a youngster into an international Grand Prix horse. Carol Gee says he “picked” her as a three-year-old, walking straight up in the field and putting his head on her shoulder. From there, Sophie Richards patiently developed him, Duarte Seabra helped shape him for top-level sport, and Cian O’Connor later took him onto the world stage.

With bloodlines connected to elite sport horses and a natural intelligence over fences, Kilkenny quickly proved he belonged at the highest level. Under O’Connor, he impressed in Florida and became a serious Olympic option for Ireland. 🏆

What makes Kilkenny special is not just scope or technique — it is his character. Brave, clever, sensitive, and deeply connected to people, he shows how great horses are made through time, belief, and the right partnerships. 💚

A true Irish-bred superstar in the making. 🌟
