We would like to say a huge thank you to the team at Munster Lost and Found who helped us last week when two sick, 4 week old kittens were handed in to the practice during a time when we were extremely busy and understaffed. A quick call to Lyndsey at Munster lost and found pet helpline and within 2 hours two lovely volunteers came to take the kittens so they could be given the round the clock care they needed. We were very grateful to their help and would urge anyone who has the ability to foster or hand rear kittens to give them a call and help them out especially during the busy kitten season!
You can contact them on 086 211 2850 :)

**Looking for a forever home **
This is Peggy, who is an older lady looking for a loving home, she is a friendly kitty and would like a home where she could lounge away all day, she isn't a very playful cat. She has been Spayed and vaccinated while she has been witb us. Her left leg is a bit wonky after her initial injury but she doesn't let it stop her. She would happily adapt to a house with other cats. Unsure of dogs but again would possibly adapt over time.
If you can offer her a home please contact Catherine on 0667171025. An adoption fee will apply. She is located in Ballyduff, Kerry but happy to transport her if needed.

With Easter approaching this weekend we thought it might be important to make a little post about your cats and some poisons that they may come in contact with over the Easter period and in general.

Coming into spring and with Easter around the corner there will be many things that could cause your cat harm if they were to ingest them.

CHOCOLATE 🍫
Chocolate contains theobromine and caffeine which cats cannot process well and if ingested can impact their heart, nervous system, and digestion.
Because chocolate is toxic to both cats and dogs, all sources of chocolate and their packaging should be kept in closed cabinets or the refrigerator if there are any pets in the home.
You can also use cupboard and door locks if your cat has a knack for opening cupboard doors.
Even though cats are less likely to eat chocolate giving that the Easter bunny is due to visit it would be best to keep these out of reach of your curious cats!
If your cat does ingest chocolate then please contact the vet immediately.

LILIES 💐
Lilies are one of the most dangerous plants to cats. They are so poisonous that cats can suffer kidney failure just from nibbling a leaf, licking pollen off their coat or even drinking the water from the vase the lilies are in.
This is considered an emergency and you need to contact your vet immediately if you think your cat has ingested any form of the lily.
If you feel like your cat has chewed, licked or swallowed anything suspicious over the Easter weekend or just in general then please contact your primary vet for medical advice.

There are many other plants that are poisonous to cats such as daffodils which are all in bloom at the moment!
We have attached a link for you to read through to become familiar with which plants are harmful to our furry friends.

**M;ssing blind cat**

Sidney went m;ssing on the 26. December 2025 in the townland of Kilboy/Slieverue near Ballyfeard/Riverstick/Carrigaline.

She is used to living outdoors and was blind for the past two years. Despite extensive searches she has not been found yet and she might be wandering around. Being blind she would take cover near the road with a car approaching, she could not run away. If anybody sees her (easily recognisable by her eyes) PLEASE stay with her and phone 089 444 2046 immediately, do not send PM or post or SMS. Sidney is very gentle and shy and may be hiding somewhere. She was living in our shed for 6 months before we saw her the first time. She is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Generous reward offered for anybody bringing our beloved Sidney cat back.

If you see Sidney you can also email [email protected]
