We had an unfortunate report of an adult cat found deceased in Ballincollig outside St. Nicks football pitch near Dublin Hill. It is a mackerel tabby. It was moved off the road by a kind passer-by. If you are missing a cat of this description please contact us on [email protected].

Overwhelmed by Crisis

Cat Foster Homes Needed (be their Lifeline)

We are facing a severe, escalating crisis with an overwhelming influx of cats and kittens needing help during this never ending "kitten season."

We are, at this stage, well beyond capacity, struggling to cope, with our current, dedicated foster spaces literally bursting at the seams.

The phone calls and messages are never ending, asking for advice and help with more cats and kittens hoping to come into our care. We cannot, and do not want to turn these requests away but, UNLESS we secure some people to come onboard and offer their HELP with FOSTERING, we cannot provide the level of support that these cats and kittens need and deserve. Fostering is a wonderful way to help cats and kittens in need. You will never be alone, as support and advice is always available from our dedicated Cat Foster Team. Fostering a cat or kitten can be a highly rewarding experience for fosters and cats alike.

Can you come onboard and offer temporary Foster Space for Cats or Kittens.

Have you thought about getting a companion cat but feel your present lifestyle just doesn’t suit a long term commitment? Perhaps you could foster.

All equipment, food and veterinary care is covered by the Rescue – all we ask is your love and kindness.

**Cat Handed In **
Unfortunately, we have had a deceased cat handed in this morning. She was found near Collaiste an Phiarsaigh in Glanmire.
She is a slim, unneutered black and white cat with no microchip or collar. There is also evidence that she has had a litter of kittens recently and may still be nursing them.
If you recognise this cat please contact us on 021 4824601 (ext 2). If you live in the local area please check your sheds and garages in case there are kittens there that will need help.

**Foster home needed **

Lovely Tigey is looking for a foster home for a few months while his owner is waiting to move in to their new accommodation. The interim rental accommodation does not allow pets unfortunately. He will need a temporary home from roughly august to november but this could change if there are delays with the move-in date for the new house.
Tigey is an affectionate, quiet 3 year old male Maine C**n cat. He is gentle with children but has never been in a home with other pets so a home where he is the only pet would be ideal. He is an indoor cat and would need to be kept inside in his foster home.
During his stay all of his food, toys, medical expenses will be covered by his owner.
Many people have experienced the stress and anxiety of trying to find a rental home that allows pets. Tigey's owner is desperate for him to remain with his family. If you can offer Tigey a foster home please contact us on [email protected]

** Looking for their forever home - on behalf of Munster lost and found pet helpline **

Victor and Dara are two fabulous boy kittens just waiting to spread their endless charm to their new Family.

These boys met in rescue and absolutely love each other and will continue to thrive in a home where they can stay together. They are the perfect balance of fun, adventure and affection

They need an indoor home please where someone will be there to love and care for them. They love chasing each other, playing with their ball and then when all that is over, snoozing together in the sun. The love cuddles and kisses and their purrs will fill the room like music. They love human interaction and will return the love their receive in double.

Adopting Victor and Dara will ensure you'll never have a dull or lonely moment again. These two boys will fill your life with joy and affection.

Up to date on all their Vet work and ready to greet their new family.

**Pet Insurance Update **

It has come to our attention that several of the pet insurance providers have recently changed the terms and conditions regarding their excess policies.
Most providers have an excess of between 75 and 125 euro per claim for kittens/ adult cats. In addition there is usually always an additional percentage excess for cats above a certain age. For some providers this is for cats 10+ years while for others it is as low as 5+ years.
While we would ALWAYS recommend insuring your pet we would urge clients to read the fine print of any insurance policy they may be considering and if possible make sure that the cover you get is a lifetime policy as opposed to a 12 month (time limited) policy. 😸

UPDATE:
Sadly Roxy has been confirmed as passed away.
Her body was seen in Glanmire by the bus stop by SuperValu on Monday but it was moved not long after it was reported to the mums of glanmire page.

⚠MISSING⚠

Roxy is missing since Monday morning in Hazelwood Avenue.
She went out for her usual stroll and never returned.
She is neutered, microchipped and she is wearing a black collar with a ball on it like in the photo.
She often visits our neighbours and gets some hugs and treats from them but no one has seen her.
