Happy Veterinary Receptionist Week! 🐾💙

A huge shoutout to the amazing Delia and Jenny✨ The friendly faces who keep everything running smoothly from the moment you walk through our doors. From comforting worried pet parents to juggling calls, appointments, and all the behind-the-scenes magic, you both do it all with kindness, patience, and a smile.

We truly couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for being the heart of our front desk and for caring so deeply about every pet and person who comes through.

Show Delia and Jenny some love in the comments! 🐶🐱✨

Meet Hugo, this brave Labrador who has spent the last month with us after undergoing major spinal surgery — a ventral slot procedure to treat a ruptured disc in his neck (C6–C7). When Hugo first arrived, he had lost movement in all four legs, and his future was very uncertain.

Thanks to surgery, intensive nursing care, physiotherapy, and a whole lot of determination, Hugo has made an incredible recovery. Today, he’s walking again and getting stronger every single day!

His journey is a powerful reminder of how resilient our patients can be — and how teamwork between vets, nurses, physios, and devoted owners can truly change lives.

We’re so proud of you, Hugo — keep stepping forward! 🐕✨

After an incredible few years with us, it’s time to say goodbye (for now!) to our amazing veterinary nurse, Georgina. 🐾

Her kindness, dedication, and care for every patient have meant so much to our team and clients. She’s been a truly valued part of the practice and will be greatly missed. While we’re so sad to see her go, we’re also so proud and excited as she begins her new adventure in Dubai. We know she will be just as loved wherever she goes.

Once part of the team, always part of the family. ❤️

Wishing you all the luck and happiness in this next chapter — Dubai is very lucky to have you!

Love from all of us at Blackpool Vets 🐶🐱 Georgina Harrington

A HUGE thank you to the gorgeous Remi who very kindly donated her blood today to a sick patient in need. 🥰
She was the bravest girl and of course got lots of treats and cuddles on her recovery🫶
And thank you to her wonderful owners for allowing her to donate her much needed blood, we appreciate you✨

Coco 🐾
After a road traffic accident, Coco sadly sustained severe injuries including a broken foot, a dislocated hip and a few cuts and bruises.
Due to the extent of his injuries, amputation of his leg was the best option for Coco.🥲
His surgery was a success and amazingly he was back on his feet (all three of them!) just one day after surgery🥰
An incredible reminder of how adaptable and resilient our patients can be 🤍
Well done Coco, we wish you a speedy recovery👏🏼
