Bridge Drama

Bridge Drama Bridge Drama is an amateur drama group based in Castlebridge, Co. Wexford .

Our main aim is to present productions of the highest quality and entertainment value, while having the maximum amount of fun!! Our group is open to anyone with an interest in the stage or getting involved behind the scenes. Our year (officially!) begins in late August and the committee remains active until late June. In October we produce a show which has in recent years has been a 'Night of Come

dy' consisting of a number of short comedy plays. It has been held in the Porter House in Castlebridge and in the Talbot Hotel in Wexford town. No sooner is the October production over when work begins on the year's main show, a 3 act play which opens locally in February before heading off on tour as part of the ADCI festival circuit, where we've competed since 2002. The circuit production sometimes runs into May (depending on results!) but it's no sooner over than it's time for work to begin in picking next year plays!

Programmes from our last public performance at our rehearsal space in Castlebridge Community Hall! 🤗 These programmes from Rumours by Neil Simon in 2003 were found in remarkable condition beneath the stage as it was being deconstructed. The hall is going through some transformative changes and we hope to publicly perform there once again in the near future! 🤞🙌🎭 Thinking of those named who are no longer with us. ❤️❤️

Huge congratulations to everyone involved in Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, Wexford 2025! 👏 The organizers, Volunteers, musicians, dancers, stall and food traders, publicans & their employees, venue operators, Gardaí, first aiders, clean up crews, carpark attendants, transport companies and drivers! Thank you to everyone who came out to our AGM last night. It was refreshing to see a number of new faces!! 🤗 A huge thanks to the outgoing committee who did an incredible job particularly Sec Deirdre McCarthy whose 3 year term came to an end. 👏
