Halloween is fun for many, but fireworks, loud noises and bonfires can cause major distress to wild animals and household pets, writes dog behaviourist Suzi Walsh.
Walsh adds: āPlanned displays allow owners to prepare by exercising dogs earlier, bringing animals indoors and arranging veterinary treatment where necessary.
āBut when fireworks are set off randomly over several weeks, that protection becomes almost impossible.ā
