My journey with animals began years ago, originally working on farms including Lambing, Cattle and Horses. In 201

8, I joined a Veterinary clinic in Vancouver, Canada, where clients affectionately started calling me "Auntie Grace." The nickname originated from looking after three adorable Schnauzer siblings and quickly caught on among other clients. Since then, I've had the pleasure of working in various veterinary clinics across England, Ireland and Wales. In 2020, I qualified as an animal hydrotherapist, expanding my skills and expertise in animal care. Services Offered

☀️ Is Summer finally here?!

Although we love the Summer, there are a few dog facts to remember:
🌡Dogs do not sweat like humans and cool themselves differently. This is done slightly through their paw pads but mainly by panting.
🌡Watch out for over heating signs: Excessive panting or drooling, Red tacky gums, Extreme lethargy.
🌡Geriatric, Overweight & Brachycephalic Dogs are highly vulnerable in the heat.
🌡Anything above 28° is dangerous for dogs.

Solutions:
✔️ Touch pavement with the back of your hand for 5 seconds, if this is too hot for you, its definitely too hot for your pups paws - alternatively, stick to just grassy areas.
✔️ Keep to shaded woods/forests with access to water.
✔️ Move Dogs to cool, shaded or covered areas. Cooling mats are also a great way to keep your fur-family nice and chilled.
✔️ Walk in the mornings or evenings where possible.
