If you need to turn in an animal or want to schedule a time to visit/adopt, please call 653-4246 prior to coming to the shelter. GAIN is OPEN:
Monday through Sunday 9am-5pm (closed 12pm - 1:30pm)

sitation walk-ins are welcome between 1:30pm-4:30pm, but we do still encourage scheduling an appointment with us. GAIN is CLOSED (except for emergencies):
Easter Day, Liberation Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

If you have an emergency (animal is injured, dying, or has bitten/attacked) please call the office number. If the emergency occurs while we are closed, please call our Emergency Number: 671-483-1516. Please note, we cannot provide advanced veterinary care, but for serious cases we can provide humane euthanasia.

Our BRAND NEW GPO Adoption Center opens this Saturday, August 8 & Sunday, August 9!

You'll be able to meet some of our adorable puppies and kittens right at Guam Premier Outlets! Whether you're looking for your new best friend or just want your puppy fix, we'd love to see you!

✨ Meet Junior! ✨
Junior is a sweet Shih Tzu mix who came to GAIN after his owner was no longer able to care for him. His coat had become matted and he desperately needed a fresh start. His fur was holding urine and debris, leaving him uncomfortable and in need of some extra TLC.

We're so thankful we were able to help—and even more grateful to Wangz Petlife Wangz Pet Life, who generously donated Junior's grooming! Thanks to their kindness, Junior is now clean, comfortable, and looking his absolute best as he searches for his forever home. 💙

🐾 Thinking about adopting a Shih Tzu or other long-coated breed? Here's what you need to know:

✂️ Brush daily (or several times a week) to prevent painful mats.
🛁 Schedule professional grooming every 4–8 weeks.
👀 Keep the hair around the eyes trimmed for comfort and visibility.
🦴 Check behind the ears, under the legs, around the collar, and near the tail—these areas mat the fastest.
💙 Grooming isn't just about appearance—it's an important part of keeping these dogs healthy and comfortable.

August is officially Clear the Shelters Month, and we're making it our biggest adoption event EVER! ❤️

🎉 Adoption fees are just $100 for the ENTIRE MONTH of August!

But that's not all...

🏬 For the FIRST TIME EVER, GAIN is opening an Adoption Center at GPO!

Starting Saturday, August 8, you can meet adorable puppies and kittens at Guam Premier Outlets, with adoption events happening EVERY Saturday & Sunday through the end of August!

🚐✂️ SNIP Clinic is coming to Sinajana! 🐾

Been putting off getting your pet spayed or neutered because Yigo is just too far? We've got great news!

From August 11–20, the GAIN SNIP Clinic is bringing our surgery team to the Sinajana Mayor's Office, making it easier than ever to get your pets sterilized close to home!

✅ Appointments are OPEN NOW!
💲 Only $50 per pet
💳 Surgery fee is WAIVED for SNAP/EBT card holders
🐕🐈 WAIVED for community (stray/free-roaming) dogs and cats

🚗 Need transportation? If you have 4 or more animals, and you live in Sinajana or Agana Heights, and transportation is a challenge, please send us a message! We may be able to help arrange transportation so your pets can make it to their appointments.

Spaying and neutering helps prevent unwanted litters, reduces roaming, and gives your pets a healthier future. Every pet sterilized is one less litter at risk of ending up in our shelter.

🚨 TOWEL EMERGENCY! 🚨

Our shelter is running VERY low on towels, and we desperately need your help!

With our large SNIP Clinic coming up in Sinajana, we'll be going through hundreds of towels to keep our patients warm, clean, and comfortable before, during, and after surgery.

🩵 We can use:
🏖️ Beach towels
🛁 Bath towels
🤲 Hand towels
🍽️ Kitchen towels
✔️ New or gently used (clean, please!)

Every towel donated helps us care for more animals and keeps our shelter and clinic running smoothly.

📍 Donations can be dropped off at GAIN everyday 9am - 5pm.

We're taking today to invest in something important—our team! ❤️ Our staff is out for a team-building day so we can come back even stronger for the animals who rely on us.

We'll be back to our normal hours tomorrow, ready to help you and all of our furry friends!
